My granddaughter went here for Kindergarten and first grade her teachers were awesome . The bus driver was awesome the staff was awesome in the office . Would recommend the schoool

This is my child's 1st year at this school. We were so excited. My brother went here 18 years ago and had a great experience . We went to the schools 1st Peter Piper Pizza night. We could not find 1 teacher or the principal there. Boys were flipping adults off and taking kids games from them while they were playing. There have been many incidents at the school and my child comes home and tells me what happened either to my child or other children. I'm wondering why I never got a phone call when its my child. When i call or go in to ask they have no idea what im talking about. The insidents were never being reported to the administration. My child gets things stolen from his backpack daily. Teacher's has been standing right there watching and does nothing about the stealing and bullying. No child should have to deal with this. School should be a SAFE place for your children to go to. It should NOT be an UNSAFE place or a place their afraid to go.

Under new administration who go above and beyond expectations, this school is feeling an uplifting change for the better. Teachers here are kind and supportive, and good at their jobs. Family events are now fun and inclusive, leaving parents and community with warm spirits.

I love Cheyenne Elementary my son started in kindergarten there and is now heading into 7th grade. The teachers there have so much love and care for their students. The staff wants to see the kids be successful.

I would not recommend this school. My child was treated significantly different for the color of his skinny staff and teachers. I as a parent was treated the same. They owe us an apology for their behavior as the principal leads and approves of it. This is the type of place where they call police in black parents for inquiring what happened to their child. Not only that, they were putting their hands on my child and tried to cover it up and insult me by lying on my 5 years old. I’m warning parents of brown Children. Your children will not be treated fairly.

It was a horrible experience for it to be my daughters first time attending this school. She will not be attending another year at this school.

This school needs more training on handling the care of the students. My daughter had issue at school today and left school and the principal never followed her for her safety knowing she has health issues. The call I got from Yvette was I need to go to the school not even explaining herself.

My children have attended Cheyenne for seven years now and I have seen different changes take place. The new principal and vice principal are enthusiastic and encourage great communication. The teachers are amazing and positive. It's a great place now for both the teachers and the students. Great things happening!

My grandson loves Cheyenne Elementary School in the Peoria Unified School District, and has nothing but great things to say about his teachers and classmates. Cheyenne Elementary is a very great school in my opinion.

My son has been going to Cheyenne for 2 years now and I am very disappointed that Great Schools rates this school a 5. I have had nothing but POSITIVE experiences. Although my son is only in second grade, both the teachers he has had have been AMAZING. My one disappointment would be that PUSD changed their gifted program, but I am beyond thankful for the teachers who recognize when a child needs to be challenged and give the needed attention. On a side note, my son also attends the AM/PM program and even though teachers have come and gone, they have all been extremely kind and patient.

My daughter has attended Cheyene Elementary for the past 4 years and has been involved in the crosscountry team and has learned to play the trumpet in band class for the last 2 years .my wife and i are very happy to attend school activities such as athletic events, music recitles and the father daughter dance. The teachers are A+ the faculty and staff are alwaysvery helpful with any concerns we might have. My daughter is now finishing the 5th grade and i will have another daughter attending in three years. thank you for all your support

It would be a GREAT improvement if the principal would interact and agree to meetings with parents. It is awful that I have to deal with continued ignorance with many involved with claimed "good character" as the motto of this school. what a travesty. I am sorry they are making money to treat children this way. My hard earned money, so sad !!!! I was forced to give a star, I would rather not.
