The Elementary School is a horrible place. Please don’t sent your kids here or if you are an Elementary School teacher looking for a teaching position please go somewhere else.

I went to this school 2003-2007. I had a couple very good teachers that really helped me learn a lot and taught me that I could do anything if I worked for it. I also had teachers who taught me that because I was different, I would not succeed in "real life". Despite many staff from the Pecatonica school district telling me I wouldn't make it in the real world, I am now junior in high school but attending college full time and thriving in the new community. The current principal came when I was in 2nd grade and ever since it seems she has pushed to let teachers go, if they don't agree with her and everything she says. Almost all the teachers are young women that will follow the principal like minions to keep their jobs, which is sad. I have 2 siblings currently at this school and one that just moved on to middle school. They all have developmental disabilities and the school has not really helped them feel like they can succeed even if they struggle at times. They need to work on accommodations for students that don't/won't conform to the system that they have set in cement.
