I have 2 children in this school and I couldn't be more pleased. Their academic performance run apar with any top rated school in NJ. This does not just happen. Parents will have to be acutely involve in their education.If you can get the chance ( admission by lottery), this a good school for the city. More could be done - computer literacy etc. but so far I'm pleased with the results I see in my kids and others.

School # 1 is one of the best schools in the area...6 of 10 does not reflect the true success of the school. Students are challenged to the highest academic levels by amazing professional top quality educator. If state assessment are your criteria for success, school # 1 also meets this standard with above state average results on state assessments. School # 1 in Paterson is a model school that shows the true potential of the children in Paterson when parents are involved, teachers are allowed to teach and students are held responsible for their learning.
