I love 2023-2024 year for my child. Focus on reading these last two months is amazing! I have seen so much more improvement with my daughter's reading from the extra learning, out of class. Do recommend if any kids have problems with speech or reading, speak to the teacher for the extra help.I love hearing from other parents, each teacher is different teaching styles and each kid excels in class. Which makes me feel great for future years. PTA is stronger than other campuses. PTA board members, have been helpful in many ways. Plus the Spirit Friday and new this year Spirit Store. Other schools need to have more active parents. To help make a better school for their kids too. Having the engagement lab has been very interactive and helps teachers with their lessons. It's great to hear about their days at the engagement lab.Having the ASES program for after school. Very benefit for parents who work late. There is a Pifer Pledge said at each morning announcement. Today was a special one. These kids have memorized the pledge. Which talks about being kind and more. Pifer shows pride also is seen with he parents this year. You can see more parents are talking to each other. Developing relationship with other parents help with the kids.

My kids absolutely love this school! There is a very active and welcoming PTA, caring and dedicated teaching staff, and administrators who put forth a huge effort to make school fun and enjoyable for all of the students. This school provides a lot of additional support for students who need it, including math, reading, and English-language development and has a strong special education offering. There are after-school programs offered throughout the school year including chess club, keyboarding, theater, STEM/robotics, etc. Additionally, the school highly values family engagement and hosts several events to get parents/guardians on campus including the PTA sponsored Fall Festival, Literacy night, Bingo for Books, STEM Night, and the absolute most fun Water Play Field Day on the last day of the school year! Highly recommend!

We had a terrible experience at this school. Student was on an IEP plan, each meeting seemed to be met with a chip on the shoulder. School made some poor decisions. Did not feel the professionals knew what they were doing. Student is exceptionally amazing and needs a team of positive, influential leaders. We found the school handled this passive aggressively and with intent to intimidate. There is a reason they have very low ratings for this department. Would not recommend.

My daughter entered Kindergarten for 2022-2023. After having problems with schools near my house. I decided to enroll her in my Alumni school (across town). After learning that they have a TK program. I am shocked more are not talking about that. This year they added another class for TK and longer hours in school for them. For TK and Kinder, they are just as much longer as the 1-5 grades. Which is great! Mrs. Moore is the current Principle. They have ASES, an after school program. Which my daughter got in, half way through the year. There is a waiting list. Pick up time is 4:30-6 pm. There is ELAC for those families who are mainly Spanish speaking. Their meetings can generally spoke in Spanish. PTA can only succeed with Parents wanting to help out. Myself jumping into one of the board members because not enough members are able to help out. I am a Kinder mom and didn't expect to do that so soon. There is a lot more programs with the bigger classes; STEM, Sports, Drama, oh my! In the classroom, I very much appreciate that my daughter is receiving extra help with her speech. With learning the basics in class and myself reinforcing at home, she has achieved so much this year! You can't expect the teachers to just teach your child. Parents need to teach their kids too! Why, my daughter's preschool teachers loved my daughter for knowing a lot for her age. I love to even watch how "Kindness" is a word that is used in classrooms, in outdoor play and at school events. Teaching kindness is very important for kids. Something adults need to learn more about as well. I can't wait for the next 5 more years and see my daughter thrive!!!

My two daughters have thrived at this school. After school athletics, chess club, STEM club and ASES have been benefits other districts don’t offer that have been invaluable to our family. The teachers we have had so far have been fantastic and they all care very much about the students.

This school is below average. They are focused on English and math, primarily because there are a TON of English as a second language learners. They try and tout that they are a science school, but other than one science night that's all they do. The school has been in program improvement for over FIVE YEARS!!! The PTA is lackluster and the kids are "at" grade level with very few that are "above". Parent involvement is minimal and that's because this is a very low income area of Paso Robles. Unless my child HAD to attend this school, I would avoid at all costs. Ms. Stoner is okay and the teachers are a revolving door of pink slips. Who knows who will be the latest tragedy this year. The school is heavy on the furlough days and they are just hoping to not be the lowest in test scores. Paso Robles isn't the best area to educate a child, in general, but Pifer is one of the worst choices.
