This is by far the best school in the Houston area. My kids love it there. I had one graduate in 2021 and another one graduating in 2024 . Their early college program is top notch and they welcome all families from all backgrounds. Are they perfect? No but the staff continues to improve their performance in all content areas. I feel like the staff really care about the students and the parents. We always feel included in all the activities that my kiddos are involved in. Both of my boys are part of the band , football and soccer. Their pride in the school shows as they want to be part of all the activities that are available. With the feeder school like Lomax and Bondy prepping these students for their high school days I feel confident that Pasadena Memorial will continue to be a great institution for learning.

This is by far the worst school my African American children attended from the first week of being here at this school they were singled out and discriminated against and it started in 2020 one of my sons Southwest with dyslexia and ADHD and sometimes can't sleep at night he came to school and his eyes was red like of sleep although I told them his medical history they overlooked that and accused him of being on drugs not because he was acting out on misbehaving just because his eyes was red then to top it off they had three big as my son describing white men to pull him out of class and search him I didn't get a phone call from the school like any other parent would I got a phone call from my son that was very upset and I'm too embarrassed to go back to class no they didn't find anything on him yes they did check him out and they did determine no he's not on anyting just like asleep it is now 2021 and my son never received not an apology but what they were looking for was ways to get him out of that school and put over to the Old Pasadena School which I was not going to move him because I paid taxes I work I own a business there in that community and my children deserve equal education just like any other child moving forward to 2021 when school started back they sent that email so they say to all the parents letting us know that they will not be doing online school I didn't so when I found out school has started I went to put them back in the school needless to say it is now October 2021 and they still have not allow my children Back to School every letter every piece of paper every bill I bring up there is not good enough and no they wasn't allowed to go back like every other child they had to re-enroll however I did take my oldest son the one that suffered were deflected placed him in another school but my other son that's not having any problem that have a high academic score and have always maintained a high academic score is still struggling to get back into school which is sad because this should not be happening especially in 2021

Teachers are great, but administration is horrible.Don't reveal that you suffer from a mental illness because you will be looked down upon, and questioned. Especially by the principal Jeremy Richardson. You will stop being treated with respect. The stigma is very present at the school.

The teacher truly care about the students receiving an education, and are the most devoted teachers I've ever seen in getting knowledge into the thick skulls of their students.

The school has it's good points and bad points. I was a student here a few years back. The positive is that there is plenty of opportunity to be involved. The clubs and activities are really great and Drama and Dance are a blast. However, there is a HUGE difference between AP and average classes you should know about. The AP teachers are incredibly rude and harsh. I was yelled at the first day because nobody had informed me that I would be placed in AP English, and I was the only one without the summer homework. The teacher was harsh and uncaring towards me in particular, from then on. The AP History teacher was a little bit better, but was given to fits of screaming rage. I couldn't handle it after a while. The regular history class was even more of a shock. All the books were crumbling apart. The class was constantly in an uproar. We never learned a single thing and the only grades in the class were for "busy-work". This is literally copying answers from a book, filling in blanks on a worksheet and turning it in. Half of the class couldn't handle that much- the serious students were left on their own. The teacher was mostly a referee.

As a product from this HS, I felt like the teachers didn't care if we walked out of there with an education. The student body either doesn't want to learn, is forced to be there via parole, doesn't speak English, or is there to learn but the quality of education is below average. Everyone should be receiving an above average education, being college ready as soon as walking out of there, but the education I got only held me behind, but because I had a job and multiple extra curricular activities, I couldn't keep up with AP's and was put in regular classes where they teach you how to pass state tests, but nothing to further your education and make you a well rounded person. You get teachers who get paid little to nothing and have no passion in actually teaching. Honestly, its the best school in the Pasadena district, but I wish there was a place where students could go if they were truly seeking a better than average education.
