Jackson is a very good school , it's a good environment for a student. The teaching techniques are good , my child was doing very wrong at beggining of the year but as soon at the teachers saw the problem they helped and his scores went up . The behavior isn't Soo bad either , yes it may be a little rough but it gets fixed , any parent who has thought about putting there child in Jackson should give it a try .

My child attends this school & I have picked him up early on 2/3 diff. Occasions for Dr. & Dentist appts. & when I have gone to check him out of the attendance office the lady that works there has had Spanish music playing at a very loud and inappropriate volume. Very unprofessional I sat there for a good 5 mins. Till she finished talking her personal conversation on the phone then she finally proceeded to help me check out. I have also witnessed gossip at the front office while parents are sitting down. Their test scores were so low last yr.that the school isn't even at an acceptable rank in the state of Texas. With staff this ignorant what can we really expect from the choldren. It should be closed down & the children should be transfered to better schools around the area. I seriously doubt that the scores will improve because the teachers will pass anyone that attends tutorials whether they learned the material or not. That's why when it comes down to test time the children don't know the material.

This is a great school. Very warm and helpful. This is a little tuff part of Pasadena but you dont feel it when you walk into the school. Something happened with poor scores or something last year and this year we could pick to go here or to another school in PISD. We picked to stay with jackson because we knew that the teacher would do everything to turn things around. My son is in pull outs and gets extra help during school and all teacher have after school tutoring MTW from 3:45 to 4:45. My son was struggeling but now with the extra help he is passing.
