As a teacher and a parent at this school I am confident that when I send my little ones to school each day they are protected, prayed over, educated and shown God. There’s no where else I’d send my kids.

FBCA has the same issues and problems that are found in public schools. The difference is, at FBCA, the teachers' hands are tied in addressing the problems and can walk along side the students and families to help students and disciple them through hope and faith in Christ. The academics are better than public school since teachers do not have to "teach to a test" and can prepare students for college. The new administration is holding teachers accountable to academic excellence, which is harder to do than the lazy fill the class time and put a grade in style that previously existed. My child has had good teachers and "please, God, get us through this year" teachers but has learned and grown each year. The smaller classes allow students to receive the help and teaching needed. We will continue with FBCA through our child graduating.

Having taught for 6 years at FBCA, I can truly say that the goal of FBCA is to train students in academic excellence with a biblical world view. I love the community of teachers I work with because each teacher loves God, loves students, and loves education. The administration works hard to provide us all the materials we need to teach and leads by Christlike example. The students are a delight to teach. They come excited to learn and ask thoughtful questions. I can recommend FBCA without reservation. God is at work here.

First Baptist Christian Academy has been a huge blessing to our family. All three of my sons have gone through the Early Learning Academy and are currently working their way through the elementary school. My husband has been a secondary teacher at FBCA since 2018, teaching junior high and high school students. They work hard to cultivate administrators and teachers who are not only qualified to lead and teach, but who live out their faith inside and outside the classroom. FBCA is more than just a school, it’s a family. All of my kids feel at home and feel loved by their teachers and the administrators. The academic offerings are excellent, but FBCA also offers opportunities for extracurricular activities like sports, music, arts, missions, clubs, and spiritual development. I firmly believe the leadership changes that have taken place over the last couple of years have taken the school in a positive direction. These changes have brought a higher level of educational experience, professionalism and accountability to the school and to the teachers, which I appreciate. Change is hard and will always breed discontentment for some; but change also brings opportunities for growth and advancement, and encourages innovation. No place is perfect because we are all imperfect people, but I truly believe this school and the people in it are trustworthy and have my family’s best interest in mind both educationally and spiritually. We are excited to continue our educational journey at FBCA and can’t wait to see what’s next!

My 3 boys have attended FBCA for the last 3 years. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional education and nurturing environment they provide for all three of my boys. The teachers that have taught my boys have all had a major impact on their academic and spiritual development. The teachers and administration at FBCA truly embodies, the Christian values we want for our family. The dedicated staff and teachers go above and beyond to ensure each student's holistic development, fostering not only academic excellence but also strong moral character and spiritual growth. The small class sizes allow for personalized attention and meaningful connections with both teachers and peers. The curriculum strikes the perfect balance between rigorous academics and biblical world view teachings, creating a well-rounded educational experience. Moreover, the school's commitment to community service and outreach programs instills a sense of compassion and empathy in the students, preparing them to become responsible global citizens. I wholeheartedly recommend First Baptist Pasadena Christian Academy to any parent seeking an outstanding education rooted in Christian principles, where their child can flourish academically, spiritually, and socially.

FBCA has been a safe and nurturing environment for our kids. The academics are excellent and learning about God's word instead of other worldly influences is a very important part of education for our family. We are so happy to have FBCA for our children's education.

Our son has been at FBCA for the last four years and we have been thrilled with the school. We went 27 students in his public school class to just 16 at FBCA. The teachers are so caring and the academics are definitely challenging. Even more importantly, our son is learning about the Bible and God’s love while he’s there!

We have a Pre-K student and an Elementary student here. We have been here two years and have been very happy with our experience. Class sizes are small. The teachers have been great. The kids have been learning the Bible and have become excited about worship songs and learning more about the Bible. So far it has been invaluable for our family and we plan to stay here for the long haul.

Our family has found a school home where our children are challenged academically with an excellent and rigorous curriculum and where biblical truths are integrated in all subjects. Our interactions with the staff and teachers have been wonderful. It truly is a caring and warm environment where our kids are taught to love the Lord and to grow and learn with excellence.

Academics are better here than public school, but not outstanding. Loving God will be taught in name only. New elementary principal is a former assistant superintendent with experience all in public school, and she has brought all of her public school policies to fbca. they do have lower tuition compared to some other private schools in the area, and in comparison, good facilities since they are housed in the supporting church. However, tuition will increase every year, you will still give a lot of money through the year, and they are working hard to push parents to the peripheral like in public school while putting on a show they love God.

We are so grateful to have found a school that teaches our children biblical truths while still giving them an academically rigorous curriculum that will prepare them for the future. This was our first year and our experience with working with the teachers and the administrators couldn't have been better. The programs for dual credit and AP classes in high school are appealing for the long-haul.

We have been enrolled in the elementary for a year and have loved our experience so far. The teachers are wonderful, caring people who communicate well with the parents. We love the smaller class size and especially love the fact they strive for academic excellence while teaching a curriculum that is biblically-based. The investment is more than worth it to us.

Very disappointed this new Administration cannot be recommended. It is their way, only. Not a true open door policy. It is my opinion they are led in unrighteous pride and authority. If you want to make it here, the real truth is that you will need to keep your head down, pay, and not expect real concerns to be met with any servant leadership, understanding or change. Just smile and move along. However, I appreciate the teachers a lot, who do really care but are caught in a hard situation between parents who expect a lot and the Administration. Slowly Turning into public school policies sprinkled with pretty, feel good Jesus, while losing its “home town feel” into a “Business” feel. If you're looking for real spiritual truth of heart in the leadership, I have not found it here. Christianity that looks pretty but cant withstand anything dissenting and corrective. A sad day for the Church and next generations. The One True Authority comes to us vertically, it is not curated horizontally for ourselves.

My child has been at FBCA since Pre-K. Things were great up until the current administration took over. The positive reviews on this page were most likely done by a teacher, staff member or the parent that donates large amounts of money to the school. The children to those parents run the school. They are not disciplined like the others. They bullying at this school is out of control. There are a few good teachers, not many.

This is an amazing school, with amazing teachers. I can't imagine my children going to any other place! Our children have been going to the school for the past 12 years and every year they continue to improve :-) – thanks for all that you guys do.

My daughter has been a student at FBCA since 2011. We recently moved out of Pasadena and was looking for a closer private school and realized that after my research, that we will not be taking her out. One issue I seem to keep across is how other schools deal with bullying, and none of them seem to come close to taking it serious like FBCA. My daughter had a small issue with some girls and the entire administration and teachers ALL worked together to help resolve it before it became bad. They even continued to follow up to make sure it didn't come back. I have never had a single problem that was not handled immediately. I unfortunately will have to commute but now I realize it will be 100% worth it!

FBCA is a wonderful school for several reasons, the adminstrators and teachers are wonderful to my children, they feel loved and are accually excited to go to school. My child is taught christian based learning, we feel so blessed when our children share their faith with others. Our family and friends are amazed how much they have learned. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a christian, loving, school with more individualized attention for your child. Smaller classes and wonderful Godly, intelligent teachers our children flurish. Thank you Jesus for FBCA!

I went to FBCA from Pre-K to 8th grade and the atmosphere gradually changed from disciplined to hateful. I had to leave the school because of bullying and the chapels do not preach the true Gospel at times. Most of the people that are invited make the kids laugh and eventually get to the Bible after telling a "fun" joke. The football was fun but unskilled. I do not hate the people there because I spent much of my life there, but I must say that whenever I left that hateful atmosphere, Christ found me and saved me. It's strange that me, being a Baptist, had to leave a Baptist school because of the hatred and evil there, but God works in mysterious ways and it was a good choice by God's grace that I left.
