I personally don't like this school. I've had 2 kids go through this school and one loved it and one hated it. I don't think they are very nice either. They aren't very helpful to the kids either when they don't understand. I will be sending my younger kids to a different school in Parma when its time in a few years.

Thoreau Park has rude, ill-manned teachers and staff. Every time I walked in to the school students where get screamed at. On the first day I walked my son in to this school a teacher was repeated yelling at him because he did not now who his teacher was, where is class room was, and he did not have his rain gear. I had to say something to that teacher. This school is unsafe on many levels. They do not follow safety rules that I have seen. They have no organization for pick up and drop of students. Teacher are suppose to watch the children go to the parents when school is out. I have seen a teacher open the door let her students out, and she went back in a shut the door. This was a very cold day when this happened. They have a huge lack of supervision. I went to eat lunch with my son When I seen that they trays with food where on top of each other, plus the food was not hot. Health department needs to shut that lunch room down!! 2 Lunch ladies were talk about a student right beside me and in front of other students. This school does not know what confidentiality is. I took my son out of this school and will never take him back.

My daughter spent K thru 6 at this school and she loved it. Now I have my second child in kindergarten there and she's happy. I've always said, if she's happy then I'm happy.

huge dissapointment in comparison to the school my kids were previously in. The pick up and drop off rules are ridiulous, I have kids in 3 different grades and I have to drop each one off in a differnt location and pick each one up in a different location every day. It would make a whole lot more sense to just have one central drop off point for the students. Also the required school supplies is rediculous there is a huge list and it is very specific for each grade and expensive for each student. My kids last school all they needed was a bookbag nothing specific but here if the color of the notebook is wrong they cant use it. just overall disgusted with how this school operates.:( will be moving in a month and this school is the reason

I graduated from Thoreau Park a few years ago. It was a really good school and I still go and visit some of my old teachers.
