The homework is not reflective of the standardized testing. My child was not prepared for the district standards. The administration would not take my concerns seriously until I contacted the school district. This school did not recognize that my child had an issue until the school district was contacted. They then wanted to assess my child but would not help put a plan in place moving forward.

Our boy's have been there for going on 3 years, the teacher's are awesome and our boy's love it.

I'm new to this area. An son would've been zone for Hiland Park Elementary. But I will love to say education start from the home. An some people shouldn't judge someone from there zoning.some people don't grow up to be products of the environment like myself!!!

This school was a huge disappointment. I know that in the past the school performed well academically and many of the long-time residents cling to the past scores thinking they are still valid but they are not. Due to zoning changes students are coming from other areas- not just the Cove now. Unfortunately there is little to no parental involvement for many of these students and this is reflected in their behavior at school. Additionally the new administration (and new principal) lacks the experience and knowledge necessary for her responsibilities. I got the impression that the teachers and faculty did not feel they were getting the support they needed to perform to the best of their ability.

Cherry Street Elementary is a wonderful school! My kids attend this school and are very happy and are learning a lot! We love the teachers and staff! A++ in our book!
