If you have a ESE child, they will not be safe at PALM VIEW. My child got hurt on the manatee county school bus and Palm View didn’t notify me til two days later. Incident happened at dismissal when children were being loaded on the bus. Not the bus driver nor the school administration notify me of the incident til two days later when I showed up with a picture of how my child looked after the injury. Pure NEGLIGENCE on behalf of the school and bus transportation.

I can’t say it enough stay away I’m a grandparent of a former student so they can’t harm them anymore this school has failed on so many way more than one occasion at least 4 occasions that I was even told about the children tell an adult at school about a fight or bullying it’s alway “off camera” or NOTHING IS DONE I URGE YOU TO FIND A KID THAT ATTENDS AND ASK THEM !! Nothing is ever done about bullying and to me ?? I feel like administrators are committing child abuse by DOING NOTHING EXCEPT SHAMING THE VICTIMS or punishing the victim It was frightening every day for those kids until they got home !! And until they got out of there safe !! A little girl 4 th grade came home with bruises on her legs because she refused to allow a boy to see up her dress school did nothing about this either !! This is the second occurrence the school failed NOT SAFE FOR YOUR CHILDREN NOT SAFE FOR THE FAMILIES THIS SCHOOL WILL SCAR YOUR CHILD FOR LIFE !! Please get your children out and if you can’t do this question your children TALK TO THEM EVERY SINGLE DAY !!

A public school is public property and it's staff are public servants. EVERY American, regardless of age, has the inalienable, constitutionally protected RIGHT to record in public places and public employees in the course of their duties. Your policy is unlawful and unconstitutional. Civil rights do NOT have pause buttons and are NEVER invalid especially in public. If a PARENT would have forcefully restricted THEIR child against their will in a locked room and treated THEIR child the way you treated SOMEONE ELSES CHILD, they would be in jail. Disgusting!!

This school has no structure and is understaffed. The teachers cannot handle their classes due to their size.

The elementary school vice principal should be the leader of that school

The recent events @ this school regarding the 12yr old arrested for recording was reprehensible! I have contacted state officials and NAACP, ABC. This will not go without accountability. The principle obviously had other intentions when constantly asking for handcuffs on the child. This is disgusting behavior from school & law enforcement. How would like your 12yr old girl being reduced to a dog and treated this way? Huh?

The staff acts very aggressively towards students they also provoke children until they become upset and then make an example out of them.

I’ve had a wonderful experience at this school! My daughter is thriving and with the WOZ program I’m excited for her future success. I love the faculty and staff but the leadership at this school is where the community starts and they are doing an excellent job.

My experience has been great, all the teachers have been fantastic towards me and my kids and the foster a positive learning environment. I wish they weren't adding middle school because it makes the school more crowded and I've noticed an increase in class sizes which I dont like either, but I assume its because more people are wanting to come to this school. If it had less students it would be perfect. 5 stars from our family!

My daughter started this school at the beginning of Oct 2017 after my separation & Ms. Carter has been WONDERFUL & Understanding. Her teaching skills are so creative and fun, she's flexible, students are relaxed and ready to learn with her. Of all the schools that I have encountered with this one is the best by far therefore I don't understand why it is rated 2. I give the school a 10.

My granddaughter is a 1st grader in Palm View, she is a special needs child. The whole staff is very caring; the school is safe; the teachers are very compassionate and knowledgeable. She loves to go there! Thanks

Palm View elementary is near to our winter residence. I started volunteering there in Feb 2013 and a retired teacher, have found it to be a wonderful experience. Teachers are flexible, students are relaxed and ready to learn. Volunteer co-ordination is excellent. Karen Campola

My children only had the opportunity to attend Palm View for one year. I was extremely pleased with the teachers and staff and the education they received. The atmosphere was very welcoming and there were many events to keep the families and students involved. I have not encountered a school I have liked as much as this school. I was very surprised it was only rated a 2 on this website. I give the school a 10.
