I used to love Allamanda until they got a new principal Corey Ferrera. I think she has no understanding of Autism, no compassion for the autism families, no knowledge of autism and I am wondering how she even became principal if she has no qualifications for an autism school? I hope they get a new principal that is supportive and has love for the AUTISM community. In my opinion this past school year has been a living HELL because the principal has been very mean to us because my Autism Princess throws tantrums. All 3 of my children have gone here for years and all of a sudden life with the new principal has been Hell in my opinion.

I have 3 kids that have or do attend. This is an exceptional school. Specifically, they care about grades, academics, welfare and what is best for each child. I love this school! One of my kids has autism and she has improved so much since we moved to this school. She just learned how to communicate on the iPad. I highly recommend this school. All of my kids enjoy coming every day.

Son is just entering 5th Grade. He has been a part of this school since kindergarten. At every grade level I have been absolutely impressed with the amount he has learned and grown. The teachers are very hands on and communicate with the parents very well. The entire staff shows respect to every child I have seen them interact with. I am also impressed with the genuin care they show for the students... from making sure the parents are in the know about how their child is doing, good or bad, and offering suggestions to keep them on them right track. It amazes me how every staff member on campus seems to know every students name. If you were to ask my son how he likes Allamanda, which I do often, he would tell you that it is a great school. I'm not sure why the negative reviews. If your child is going there to learn and stay on track, there really shouldn't be any negative reviews. If you are just wanting your child to go somewhere and get good grades without putting in the work, this probably isnt the school for you, and you will be giving it bad reviews too.

We are very happy at Allamanda. Our daughters teachers so far have been wonderful. They are easy to communicate with and our daughters love them. I couldn't have asked for a better school. All the staff are friendly and attentive. Their aftercare program is great also.

Both my son and daughter attended Allamanda. My daughter has been there for all 6 elementary years and will sadly graduate this year. My son began halfway through first grade as a result of a move from another Florida county and completed 4.5 years there. He is now in the Finance program at Duncan. I have known that Allamanda is a special place, filled with bright, loving teachers and staff, but I would not have known just how special Allamanda is if not for the experience with my son in another county prior to our move. The school is comprised of a mix of traditional students and those with physical or emotional needs. For my two traditional students, participating in field day and other events with children of different abilities only strengthened their strong foundation of love, acceptance, and support for all. The principal and Assistant Principal are very involved and complement one another nicely. The entire staff rallies around the students as a big family and many send their own children to the school, which is a testament to its caliber! For my family, Allamanda has done a phenomenal job with education, extra support in math and reading, communication with parents, offering of healthy food options, focus on physical activity, cleanliness of the facility, and outstanding after school programs! Allamanda is an A+ in my book. I will be very sad to leave it behind in June 2017.

ALLAMANDA"claims"to be a school that Is caring towards children, considering they are a school that promotes"healthy direction, kindness and respect for others."Unfortunately,my child was treated with shame and threats of behavioral consequences by the assistant principal for having a medical condition, which by the way,was completely documented in the school file by a specialist.ALLAMANDA does many fundraising events for Autism and there are MANY physically impaired children that attend this school.I am highly disappointed ,and cannot fathom why this administration nor a school nurse would belittle a child with an impairment, especially when this particular school toutes themselves to be a "school of understanding and positive support to children that need a little more."Absolutely degrading to a child in need of something ,more than shame, for a condition they have no control of.

We are new to this school and love it! Moved here from another state. Everyone is so nice, helpful and friendly. Lots of after School Events too. Glad we are fortunate enough to start out in such a Great School in Florida. Here's to a Great Year at Allamanda! My child thinks all the kids and teachers are so nice too!
