Excellent school! The teachers are dedicated and the school raised it's state grade from D to B in one year!

The teachers are hard working and will work with you if you reach out the them. Too many of the parents ignore or flat out disrespect the teachers. Many good teachers have been forced to leave the school by a micro managing dictator of a principal. There are a core of teachers that really hang in there and are there for the students. Many that stay, because they know this is where they are needed. This school can do much better. It just needs the right leadership.

I believe this school could do better. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be much support from students’ families, so this is something that creates a dynamic obstacle. There are resources that don’t seem to be offered at this school- like sports, fine arts with regard to musical instruments and media programs for home like MyOn or other popular reading programs. In addition, no field trips or outdoor activities like 4 H clubs are mentioned, all 2018-2019.

Terrible do not put your kid in this school the teachers and staff are lazy they spend more time on nonsense than they do teaching my son's grades dropped from A's last year in a different school to C's and D's in this school

I have my kids at this school and had an excellent experience with the 3rd grade teacher. She really care about the kids and their education. Mrs. Williams was strict but the kids learn, my child has odd and with the help of her teacher she had excellent grades. Mrs. Williams always kept me inform of all my kids work, she was the first teacher that call me to tell me that my daughter was doing good. Normally I used to get phone calls to let me know that my child did something bad. is good to have someone that cares about your child in the school system.

Columbia Elementary how is that a school can now 2 years in a row lose registration paper work ? even after calling to make sure the paperwork was turned in and that the school had it . we were told that they did have it but today all of a sudden it disappeared on the day of registration . hopefully winning 5000$ will help this school hire better people so important paper work isn't just misplaced or lost

My child is in a pre-school program due to a language delay. I adore his teacher and her assistant. He has come so far and learned so much by attending his class. The administration has also been helpful and wonderful with his transition from a home therapist to his school class. Everyday he does something new and my fridge is full of his work. My husband and I couldn't be more proud of him or more grateful to his teacher and her assistant...the only thing I detest is the lack of parking and the disaster of a car loop--neither of which affect my son's learning on any level.
