This school tries to brainwash your children with extremist politics straight from San Francisco.

I see some of these kids running away or even cutting class by simply waiting at the bus stop, so I guess the teachers and staff don't notice something like that.

from my perspective the school and teachers care more about the special needs kids "the certificate program" than all the other students and give them way too much leeway when they scream at people or try to hit them

As a parent, I am really not sure why some fellow parents praise this school like it's prestigious. From what I've heard, it's just decent.

an okay school, nothing special really, teachers could be less nosy

My child with special needs has been punched in his mouth and his mouth was bleeding. These students are not disciplined strictly enough.

I covered teacher absences several times. The Vice Principal is an angry little man. The new receptionist asked me whether I was married. Did she fear competition? Over what precisely? The last class, last teacher I agreed to cover would not give me the courtesy or the respect to reply to my detailed notes. Given the situation I addressed, a response of some kind really was warranted. Funny when the contract was up for renewal, the teachers demanded I wear that ridiculous RESPECT badge. Hypocrite bastards!

A private school education within the chaotic public school system. If you are lucky enough to be able to get your child into Oceana, you will not regret it! Smaller student body of 600+ students, a beautiful ocean front campus, wonderful and socially responsible administration and leadership who focus on academics. Oceana HS is one of the bay's hidden gems!

Ocean High School, when it comes to the curriculum i am amazed. It defiantly improves the skills of the students and fits the description of a college prep high school. But more importantly the staff and teachers are amazing, some more than others. For instance the vice principles of the school are horrible but the principle herself is amazing. The principal is fit for her position and i could not describe how amazing she is. Although the two vice principals are absolutely horrible especially the female one. She is very discriminating and quick to judge , i would say she is very unfit to be in her position on work and should be removed. The male vice principal is a little better but couldn't care less of the students. He has favorites and is also quick to judge and has no faith in the kids what so ever. Other than the two vice principals, the school proves to help improve the skills of the students to benefit them in their lives ahead. But all this means nothing unless the two vice principals are removed from the school. They do not fit the rest of the staff for they are the only two who honestly do not have faith in the children and are very quick to judge.
