We moved to this district from another and the transition was perfect. Making oxford schools our first choice was the best decision we could have made.

The principal and the teachers are are outstanding and genuinely care for the students. We are very happy with our decision to have our students attend Oxford Schools.

School Principle, Mr. Brown, lacks following through with bullying and is not responsive to parents that bring forth any issues with bullying. This school has more than half of the teachers (including the principle) with children attending Oxford schools that it is getting quite ridiculous with favoritism and cliques. Most emails do not get responses or even acknowledged when sent to the Principle.

The Principal is on an ego trip, rude, judgemental & easily angered. My child has no one at school to go to if he has an issue because my son is not comfortable talking with the staff. Honestly, when my son had a problem nothing helpful was done. This year the principal has taken rude to the next level. When there was a situation at school my son had to come home for the remainder of the day. The Principal told my step daughter when she picked him up "Sorry I have to DUMP him on you." A man that thinks a child is garbage should not be working in a school. Very unprofessional.

If your child has no special accommodations, this is a good school. However, I have a high functioning autistic child who went here for 3rd and 4th grade and had things in his IEP the school didn't do. They kept saying "there's no resources for that." My son's general education teacher was amazing, and speech path was amazing, but he couldn't get the team he needed to succeed. If your child is behind in school, or needs special education teacher or resource room, I would NOT recommend going to this school. I've switched schools for 5th grade, but if I had it to do over would've gone to Lakeville which is the ASD-Autism Spectrum designated school and they have Spanish. OES has chinese which was unrealistic for my son to participate in being that he was so far behind in English. Clear Lake is another elementary school in the Oxford district, that has chinese, but is the CI-Cognitive Impaired school. The parking lot is a challenge if you drive your child.

The financial decision to stop using paper planners has been detrimental not only to open communication between the classroom and home but also to student accountability. When my child was using a planner he took much more responsibility in making sure that his homework was done and signed off on.
