We have had many opportunities to get involved with school functions and activities . We've had great experience with sports and our child is a beginner, so no special treatment from what we can see. I've had great luck with caring teachers who are available at any time to discuss my child's education.

Ottawa Middle School is a cesspool of small-town politics, racism, and all other forms of bigotry. If your family has money, you are treated like royalty while all others are disregarded. Clear divides exist between the right group of citizens and the wrong groups; othering is rampant. The principal will do the bidding of the upper administration, even if it harms her students and schools. Teachers are generally unmotivated and uncaring, so the students must drudge through their adolescence without caring adults. If you wonder why drug abuse rates are so high in Ottawa, look to the institutions. When children have no hope or joy, administrators enjoy a thick paycheck but have no ethics, and teachers do the bare minimum to get by, there will be little success found here.

If you’re kids are black or biracial do not I repeat do not send your kids to this institution. There is too much racial bullying going on in this school!! Parents complaints fall on deaf ears the principal and the rest of the faculty will threaten threaten the parents with arrest for keeping the kid out of school due to being bullied. I believe children of color in this school are targeted by the kids the principal and the officers at Ottawa middle school. Parents of color protect your children because this school will not resolve any of the hate crimes going on in this institution.

There seems to be a lot of bullying going on there.
