My kid is now in 4th grade and can barely read, can't spell anything, can't tell time from a wall clock and was just taught to hate the evil bad Christopher Columbus from their new progressive program. The teachers say she is doing a great job in everything??? We have to spend over an hour a day at home doing real homework because they do nothing at school. Of the highest property taxes in the County for teacher pensions. What a joke.

Great school. Very accommodating. Staff genuinely cares about the kids. My son has an IEP and we have seen great improvements with him at this school. Families very much involved in the school.

We love our daughter's experience at Fox Chase, their staff is lead by a great principle, Mrs. Teeth, who is 100% committed to the success of her students. I love the programs they have for children who need assistance, they are very proactive and a please to deal with. Great School, Highly Recommended.

I transferred to this school in the middle of 5th grade back in 2003, so I only went to this school for a few months, but I have a few good things to say about this school. I transferred in from a school with an average rating, so I didn't do very well at first, but my teacher, Mrs. Rutherford, bent over backwards for me to make sure that I caught up with the rest of the class. Also, I loved switching classes for math. Not only did it slowly prepare me for junior high, but math has never been one of my strongest subjects, so that helped me in the areas where I needed some reinforcement. If I had kids, I would move back to the area just to be able to send them to this school.

The teachers at Fox Chase really care about their students. My daughter struggled with some issues in 1st grade and her wonderful teacher went out of her way to help my daughter. My daughter had a wonderful year academically and socially.

I am very disappointed with my son's education and feel he will have to spend the summer with a tutor to 'catch-up'. I will do everything in my power to not have my son attend there next year. They are inconsistent and the teachers 'run the show'. Is anyone else concerned that 1st graders eat lunch at 1pm? We have a lot of work to do ensure our child has a stable learning base and he unfortunately did not acquire it here....I will add that his kindergarten teacher was STELLAR. Too bad she couldn't follow our child through 5th grade.

My child is a current student. I agree with the posting that the teachers thinking its social hour and arent watching the kids. I chaperoned a field trip and was amazed at the behavior that was allowed. Teacher was too busy chatting with another mother to care. The reading teachers ROCK!! There is one that took time to get to know my child and he excelled with her. He looked forward to seeing her. (His teacher claimed he couldnt read, but he was removed from the program becuase he read just fine) I think the teachers here (based on my interactions with them) need to focus on teaching the kids and not becoming buddies with the parents.
