This school needs to truly be shut down. The location alone is not safe. It is in a neighborhood, a bad neighborhood at that. The administration didn’t even have the grass cut for walkers which is probably 90% of the school. A whole week went by and kids were walking in 3 foot grass. One simple phone call to city and they were out there the same day. This is the same road the principal, assistant, administrators and teachers would have to travel to get to the school. The teachers are learning teachers meaning they just started. Some do not seem they want to be teachers and take frustration out on kids. It is heartbreaking to hear when you have a student that loves school and just wants to go to school but is constantly met with unprofessional administrators and teachers who are taking frustration out on the kids. Then they turn around and blame the kids. It doesn’t take a PHD from the outside looking in, if I was a kid and had to deal with these type of unwelcoming, rude, frustrated attitudes everyday, any kid would probably have issues! They yell at kids, the officer needs to go ahead and retire. He yells at parents, anyone can watch from a distance and see this school clearly needs to be shut down and moved to a area that is not in the back of a neighborhood. It is unsafe, especially considering the lack of care from staff.

Any teacher with ability or heart for the job leaves after a year or two for a better work environment.

The deans are very disrespectful to the parents and children.I don't think this school cares about the education of the students.

Memorial middle is a joke there way behind in learning there's no active activities for the kids and there is a lot of bullying with little being done.If your looking for looks its nice but learning is horrible.

Worst school ever. A few days after enrolling my child, I took him out and put him in a much better school. At Memorial Middle there is a lot of bullying and bad kids. The children don't learn and the school I moved my son to, they had to catch him up because he was behind at Memorial. Don't take your kids here.

We love this school! Teachers care, they are approachable. My son has never been happier. We moved from a private school that was horrible. I can't believe this school is free. Some public schools really get it right!
