Unsafe place to work. Teachers are physically attacked, severely, and administration does nothing about it. Lack of real leadership. Admin doesn't do enough to protect teachers and students. Admin's and Safety's failure to act responsibly enables dangerous activity on site and turn a blind eye. Admin and Safety are failing. Not a safe environment for teachers, staff or students.

My first 2 years were awesome but my junior year is beyond terrible because the workload for my AP US History is outrageous because we prepared for the exam late and get pressured with more work. This school always want to compare to other schools but they can't because at other schools the teachers have faith in their students and encourage their students by preparing the for any AP exam early on in the school year .

My story continues... I have written a letter also to send to the Florida Department of Education on behalf of my children and other children and parents whom feel helpless. This is the type of dogma that we are expected to agree to because, it's how they feel it should be but, I am not out to hurt the school but, my kids have been put out of their school because of their disabilities. Tampa schools go to the limit for all of their students, and that's the way that it should be. For every child and parent that has been hurt by Jones in order to receive an A and the big bonus check that comes with it, I promise to fight for your rights to be treated fairly.

I am currently graduated from Jones High School, with a honor's diploma on the previous date of June 6th 2011. My school is a great school, I had passed the reading FCAT with a 3 and the math with a 4. I also had a 6 on my Writing scores. They work hard to teach us at Jones but it's the children who come and don't try to put in good effort that also reflects on the school scores, and gives it the "bad name". No one should label JHS from it's past reputations. I am attending Bethune Cookman, and working on completing my life long goals. As long as everyone at 801 S Rio Grande stay focused as Mrs. Poteat would say they'll be just fine!!! BB
