The staff of East Omak Elementary have created a warm welco ing environment for all students. They effectively implement technology to support academic teaching and learning. My child is thrilled to go to school at East Omak Elementary because of the positive school environment, fun assemblies from the Methow Arts Alliance, caring teachers, wonderful Library program, and the use of iPads in the classrooms. Although, the schools student achievement on State tests are not where we would like them to be, the school has a strategic plan they are implementing to support student learning. I encourage people to visit this school to see the positive climate that has been developed over the last few years.

You will find incredibly nice and caring teachers and staff at East Omak Elementary. Their PE program is strong and Art and music seem to be fairly good. They offer a lot of Native American culture experiences and education that are really amazing. However, their basic academics fall short. We found once we moved away and enrolled in a different school, our children were drastically behind in reading, writing and math (comparatively speaking). I feel the expectations of students and the daily work/pace, as well as communication from teacher to parents is an area that needs vast improvement, as well as continuity, from classroom to classroom, and grade to grade throughout the school at East Elementary.
