Wilson Focus School is a wonderful school. From the highly dedicated teachers, to the approachable and involved principal and vice principal, to the "little" extras like enrichment activities, small class sizes and an extended calendar, we have nothing but positive things to say about this school. As one reviewer noted it feels like we are getting a private school environment for free. But the best thing about Wilson is the socioeconomic and cultural diversity of the student population. Watching the kids interact and work on projects together in such a supportive, creative and engaging environment such as Wilson really gives me hope for the future!

Wilson Focus School is a phenomenal school. I often describe it to friends and family as "a private school for the price of a public school." It's really incredible. The emphasis on small class-sizes and common-sense approach to technology is what originally caught my attention. After experiencing Wilson, I'm learning more and more that this school is filled with outstanding teachers who are led by an incredibly active principal and assistant principal. I can't recommend Wilson Focus School enough. We're truly thankful for the incredible honor and privilege to be part of the Lion Pride!

My daughter has attended Wilson Focus School since 3rd grade and has loved it since day 1! All of the staff is very caring and attentive, welcome feedback, and work extremely hard day in and day out. She loves the enrichment programs and has not once in 2.5 years said that she doesn't want to go to school - much different compared to her previous school! She used to struggle a bit in reading, but Wilson has helped her so much to improve in this area and actually begin to excel in math as well. I have never regretted sending her there and would highly recommend Wilson to everyone I know. The parent group is also very active and involved with the school.

Wilson has a fantastic faculty made up of people who all seem to really WANT to be there. They all take the time to teach to each individual child. While the curriculum follows OPS guidelines, Wilson takes it further. They teach in a manner that incorporates many different subjects into a project. Rather than have a math lesson and a reading lesson and a science lesson, they create projects that teach many subjects simultaneously. The year-round calendar is very effective in reducing "brain drain", and my kids actually love it. The limited class sizes (20 or less) is also a huge benefit.
