All of my children have attended Saint Patrick's School, and I can confidently say it's exceptional! The dedicated teachers are genuinely invested in nurturing both the academic and emotional growth of their students. The administration's tireless efforts have resulted in a safe, inclusive atmosphere where every student feels valued and supported in pursuing their educational aspirations.

Gazelle Bills the receptionist of this church kicked me out and threatened to call the cops on me when the father himself asked me to come there. Children at this school bully each other just like staff threatens and bullies normal public. The people here will throw you under this bus. They have no integrity

Currently a 2-3 star with hopes they can get it back to 5 stars like it was for many years.

When the principal who founded the school was here it was an excellent experience. The last administration left a lot to be desired he was non present and left everything to the vice principal. Now they're a dress-down days every weekend if not twice a week. It sometimes feels more like a public school than a private. We are holding out high hopes and strong optimism that, with the new principal coming in we can get back on track and maintain the blue-ribbon standards that many of these families have been used to and missing.

Worst private school in West Omaha. I am a huge supporter of private education, but this school's administration is lacking in quality and leadership. My carpool kids' conversation summed it up the best. The child stated, they are opening more preschool classes because they can't keep the older kids in the school. A school that once had wait lists in every grade now has openings in most if not all grades. Look at the reviews of this site. 1/3 are rated 1 or 2. Don't be fooled by this school's team that builds up reviews on this site. There were once many more negative reviews but they requested them taken down because names were mentioned in negative reviews. If you are new to the area, talk to your neighbors, not current St. Patrick's families. I have been told on many occasions, "Oh, you go to that school where everyone leaves."My advice would be to attend St. Wenceslaus, St. Vincent or Fremont Bergan if you are seeking a quality private school education. Families that zone in DC West or Omaha tend to stay at St. Patrick's or homeschool. Those in Elkhorn or Bennington leave. We had about a dozen children leave mid year to go to the Elkhorn public schools. At least that many said they are pulling their kids before the start of the next school year. The head of the school makes no attempt to be a part of the community. This person does not know the students, does not attend sporting events, leaves early on Fridays and during parent teacher conferences, did not attend the Safety meeting regarding the parking lot during construction and refused to attend a Parish Council meeting after being asked to attend on multiple occasions.

New admin is a joke. No leadership qualities and is completely overwhelmed. Depends too much on vice-principal, for whom parents have little regard as a leader. (VP nice guy, though.) We, like many, are leaving. The teachers have been great, overall. School day will start 7:50-7:55 next year. The reason why has changed at least twice. It is a pity that the school is headed in a bad direction. I look forward to reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews sure to follow this one... Curious timing.

The administration and staff work harder then any other school in the area. What an amazing group of people who will do anything for their students.

The teachers are wonderful, but the administration is lacking. The new principal is hands off. He does not introduce himself to groups, is not present during parent-teacher conferences, and passes his duties to the assistant principal. In December, my children didn't even recognize his name! The assistant principal lacks good judgement, allows bullying to take place, handles all discipline, does not have a consistent plan of action, and does not communicate with parents.

We have been sending our children to St. Pat's for a few years now and are very pleased. My children love to go to school and are thriving. They have excellent programs as well as teachers and staff. We originally decided on St. Pat's because we knew we wanted to send our kids to private school and the academic programs and location of St. Pat's were what we were looking for, but we were not keen on the previous principal. The changed principals starting the 2015-2016 school year. We are very pleased with the new principal. We felt that the previous principal was always asking for money and was just plain weird. We are so glad there has been a change in administration, and I feel that this has had a huge positive effect on St. Pat's school. I love going and volunteering now on my own time and not because the previous principal guilted me into it. We could not be happier than we are now and feel that our children are getting a great education.

I pulled my child out of St. Pat's mid year. I experienced a lot of what the other bad reviews on here said about the constant money requests. If your family is able to donate copious amounts of money to the school in addition to the regular tuition, your kids will be more likely to fit in better, be treated fairly, and you as a parent will be well received with the other parents. If you are like me, and are sacrificing for the betterment of your family, your chances of success are greatly diminished. In addition, my son was being singled out by his teacher, and completely dismissed and even picked on by his classmates. When I brought this issue to the attention of my sons teacher, she assured me that he was content to be singled out, and he was exaggerating his lack of friends. Both his teacher and principle assured me that he was a good kid, was doing well and there were no problems. Which made no sense to me why he needed to be singled out in the first place, if no problems existed. I was also told that I am the only parent who had any complaint about the school in the last few years, and that the anxiety my child was feeling most likely originated at home.

We are very happy with our decision to send our son and daughter to St. Patrick's Elkhorn. The principal was very welcoming and took the time to answer our questions and make our kids feel welcome. This school is very lucky to have such a dedicated administrator who cares and has built such an amazing program. We moved our kids to St. Patrick's in grade school, it was not an easy decision to make especially for the kids but we have no regrets. The administration and the teachers have been outstanding and our kids are excelling in school. They do work hard, but they are motivated to do it. Best of all they love their school, they love their teachers, and they also love their principal, they have a huge amount of respect for him. We are fortunate to have a school like St. Patrick's Elkhorn with such high expectations for our children. Private Education is a choice.

Scary is an understatement. Under a Catholic school the better word would be sacrilegious. As a parent who sacrifices to support my children's education in a Catholic school both monetarily and by volunteering, I am getting very tired of being asked to donate to fund raisers to pay for things that all of a sudden the school just has to have. Not small amounts for some of them..$40,000 for an assessment tool? Why is that not going to the activity center fund? Does the principal have to get approval by the parish leaders for this? Does he have full access to funds as well? Nothing is ever explained nor is input allowed from parents. My family was coaxed to St Pats on the premise that it was an awesome school that has received many academic awards and that they teach as Jesus did. I don't remember Jesus asking his apostles who were poor fisherman for a constant intake of cash. We live out our faith by following the call of the church to be our children's "first educators", only to find out that we are not allowed to be in the school unless we are a handpicked volunteer, and being bled dry with no input allowed. Is greed and notoriety what the church wants to represent?

As a current staff member, I can attest to the overall wonderful nature of St. Patrick's School. The openness and support of the administration encourages staff members to continue becoming educated in the current trends in education by providing in- service, workshops or sending teachers to conferences to stay abreast of current educational research .Yes, teaching at St. Pat's is demanding but that is due to the extremely high expectations that demonstrates how invested teachers are in the growth of the children in the classroom. However with the guidance of an exceptional principal the staff is willing to do whatever it takes to educate all children whether in preschool or middle school. Simply put, St. Patrick's staff CARE deeply about the education of the children and families it serves.

My children have had the wonderful opportunity to attend St. Patrick's Catholic School. While attending St. Pat's not only did they receive a top notch education, but they were given life long lessons. Teachers, staff, and administrators have created a Christ centered environment at St. Patrick's that can be felt the moment you walk through the front doors. Family is the word that I would use to describe how this learning community treats each and every student in this school. I have had the pleasure of seeing first hand the dedication that the teachers and staff display every day to ensure that each child's needs are met. I have had the opportunity to visit many schools, both public and private. In my opinion, there is no school better than St. Patrick's. Any school can teach a child to read and write. What sets St. Patrick's apart from the others is that they teach the whole child. Their goal is to not only prepare each student to be the best academically that they can be, but they are also preparing them to be the best person that they can be. St. Pat's engages the spiritual, emotional, and physical side of each student as well as the academic.

St. Patrick's truly is "home" for my children and our whole family! The quality of the staff and the loving atmosphere are the perfect combination for learning not only from the text books, but about how to live your life with integrity and as a faith filled person! I absolutely can't imagine sending my children anywhere else, and they can't imagine being anywhere else!

St. Patrick's Catholic School has been a blessing for my family. They treat every single child like their own and they never make you feel like you are just a number. The children are the most well behaved children I have ever seen and they truly live everyday making sure they follow Jesus' teachings. They challenge the children so they make sure the kids are always working towards their very best potential. I love going to all school massss with the children because I always leave there with goosebumps and a huge sense of comfort and pride. My husband and I know the morals and values we have worked so hard instilling in our children are being mimicked in the classroom and there is no greater joy to is than that. We thank God everyday that he opened up this door for us to enter St. Patrick's Catholic School!

Both of my children have graduated from St. Pat's. With my youngest now a freshman and taking honors classes in high school I felt compelled to let others know how St. Pat's can fully prepare your child to be a success. My children feel confident spiritually, academically and socially and they haven't always felt that way. The staff and leadership at St. Pat's made my kids aware that while we are going to make mistakes, we can always learn from those mistakes and become a better person because of it. My kids don't need to be the most popular in high school, nor do they need to be the smartest or the prettiest. They were taught that they are awesome just as they are. I hear from my kids on a regular basis how grateful they are for "this" teacher or "that" teacher they have had at St. Pat's. And the leadership at St. Pat's continues to expect only the best from their teachers...if they aren't getting a 100% commitment to all that the students need, it is ensured that will happen. I am grateful that my kids had the opportunity to attend a school like St. Pat's.

I would highly recommend St. Patrick's school! I have had 3 children attending here since 2004 and have been amazed by the compassionate and caring teachers, staff and principal. The teachers and teacher assistants have met the variety of my children's needs with expertise and grace. St. Patrick's is unique in that they have a TEAM program which consists of 3 teachers who provide extra support for those students who need it. I have come to know the K-1, 2-4, and grades 5-8 TEAM staff over the years. They have always provided just the right support for my son. While some instruction was provided in small pull-out groups, much of the instruction has come from the TEAM teacher co-teaching in the classroom with the regular classroom teacher. This co-teaching approach has allowed my son to be included with his peers and reach his full potential. He has made tremendous growth over the years.

Compassionate, faith filled, and focused are words that immediately come to mind when I think about the types of students and staff members that comprise the St. Patrick's Catholic School community. Couple that with a passionate principal, priests who make connections from Scripture to our daily lives, involved parents, and a supportive church community, and it is obvious what makes St. Patrick's a great school!
