Nobody moves to Old Tappan NJ because of the beaches. As almost all parents we invested a lot of money in a house because people told us the TBD was good. But the school has surprised us. They are not good as people told us. THEY ARE EXCELLENT. It is making worth every penny that we invested to be closed to this school. They really care of children. They understand children. I feel they even help us to raise our children. It is VERY organized. The principal is amazing. The teachers could not be better. My son who used to hate school, now he LOVES going to the school. Their academic program is very good. My son had challenges to adapt on the first days, they provided us ALL psychological support. We are really impressed with this school. This school is amazing.

This school is run down and old... For the amount of Tax charged in Old Tappan, the schools supply nothing! The parents have to work so hard to give the school everything it needs... Fund raising, donations, etc... The principal needs to retire.. and a younger principal needs to implement new ideas to revamp the whole system.

I am fortunate to have 3 children complete TBD. I consider my kids quite normal. Their learning abilities are better than average but probably not exceptional, gifted or genius levels. However, on state testing, they all tested well above proficient levels. I attribute my kids' success to the education received at TBD.

T. Baldwin in Old Tappan NJ is an amazing school with a tremendous support structure from within and parents. The school utilizes technology from Computers to Smart Boards. The Elementary school is one of the top ranked schools in the country.

Small school with a lack of creative programs and poor administrative leadership. We moved into town this year from another local school district and are so disappointed in the curriculum which is almost a year behind what they children were exposed to last year. The principal was recently hired from within and does not have authority over the staff. She spends significant time reprimanding students for walking too fast or talking to loud; it reminds me of an old style private school that's intolerant of children. Sad but we made the wrong choice moving here.
