Was the most traumatic year for my kiddo, they put too much pressure and stress on the kids that really took a toll on his learning experience, plus bullying by the kids on the bus, & now that my child has moved to a different school so much better and has loved going to school and his learning improved tremendously along with his confidence . I wouldn't recommend sending your child to this school, just find somewhere else and save yourself the trouble, did a lot of emotional damage to my kid and he really thought he wasn't smart enough , I'll never not listen to my gut again .

Pandemic schooling has no doubt been a challenge for everyone but the staff here just did not have it together. The virtual lessons were often cut short with no explanation or skipped leaving our family with a far from adequate education. My child sustained two injuries at school which she reported to the school nurse, both in which the severity of the incident was not addressed. My child ended up in the emergency room and on antibiotics due to the school nurse’s lack of concern or parental contact. Other students inflicted bodily harm and bullied my child and were not reprimanded beyond telling the children that boys and girls could no longer play together which is a sexist and outdated view in 2021. The most highlighted event of the year was Dr Seuss day and the staff dressed up as characters, knowing the current state of political unrest surrounding the author and his views. My child was singled out in front of the class and shamed on this day for MY opinion as a parent who opposes anti-Semitic views. As an individual of mixed race I was confused and upset to see absolutely NO African American heritage curriculum even on Martin Luther King day, but the cat in the hat crafts just kept coming. My child needed extra help in the reading department and received it then had it pulled with no explanation to the parents or child, causing confidence issues and confusion. The teacher marked work that was incorrect as completed and work that I as a parent explained they were struggling with and had tried multiple times as complete. The report card marks indicated mastery of few to no skills for the grade level or marks inconsistent with what I know my child has learned such as things in music and art. They are resisting me asking for my child who is young for the grade to be held back. If you like a school year filled with people who don’t listen to, support or believe the opinions of their parents but still have the audacity to ask for teacher gifts and classroom donations then this is the one for you.

We've been at the school for the last 2 years. Absolutely love it. We had Mrs Whitehorn in 4th grade and Mrs Fint in 5th grade. They both are excellent teachers. My child absolutely loves them. Mr. Lisenby the principal is excellent. Takes time to know all the children. This school such a hidden treasure in Oklahoma City.

So far so good. Our daughter started in Kindergarten and is now in 2nd grade. She has had great teachers every year and we love the school. Regarding the review mentioning the principal, my experience was completely different. I emailed the principal the summer before our daughter started kindergarten, he emailed back appropriately and made arrangements for us to meet and discuss her first year. We walk our daughter into school every day and he is almost always in the drop off area greeting parents and helping the students get out of their cars. He is very present at school.

    0. Nothing more. Nothing less. The principal does not email or call parents back. He avoids confrontation at all costs.
