My child went to school at Ralph Downs for 2 years and I was not impressed with the teachers there. The school gets high ratings but my child had 2 inexperienced teachers that just started teaching there and both seemed overwhelmed with their classes. One was worse than the other. We did homework every night and read to our child as all parents should but I felt the teachers were not effective in their classrooms with their lesson plans or handling the students. Something was "off". Going in for parent conference was a joke because it lasted all of 5-10 minutes as the teacher could not give detailed info about my child's progress. Not all the front office ladies were nice so I dreaded going in there for anything. We had to track down the vice principal once and never ever saw the principal hanging around. I wanted to like it but overall just unimpressed.
