This is the worst school my children have ever attended. The teachers do not care about the students, at least mine they don’t. My daughter has been struggling and I have contacted her teacher numerous times and school is almost over and she is just now telling me that my daughter is behind.

They don’t work well with autistic children who are on ieps. My child has rights for a great education. Children aren’t cookie cutters everyone learns different. I’m highly disappointed with this school and we have not been here long. And when my child comes home from school and says he’s teacher hurts his feelings is sad. Not professional if they are taking it out on my child for me fighting for my son to have a great education for him to be successful.

We moved here at the beginning of the year and have 6 kids throughout the Odessa School System. All of them have done wonderful, especially our son who goes to the McQuerry. His 2nd grade teacher is the best and has helped him reach his potential and then some. He has defiantly made great strides in school thanks to Mrs. Smith! We are happy that we moved to such a supportive community

Unfortunately, I wish the district had higher standards of education! My son just started 1st grade.. Last year he was BORED everyday in Odessa. The teachers do the best they can but it seems that higher level students get left to "fend for themselves" so to speak while the teachers are working with the more challenging students. Parents in this community need to be more involved in supporting the education of their children! I just hope my son can catch up with his classmates in our new district!!
