The excellent teachers, terrific parent involvement, and whole community support of this small town Catholic-based school really helped my children thrive. Small class sizes allowed my children's teachers to scale the depth of the curriculum to match both my children's speeds. It's really like joining a big family: the older kids watch out for the younger ones; the younger ones look up to and follow the older kids. Reading in weekly mass, serving as an altar-server, having a terrific hot lunch, having boys and girls basketball during the long winter -- all were great fits for our family. Since the rebuild following the fire, the outgrowth of community support for St. Anthony's has grown: Donations for the new computer lab / library, the smart boards for each classroom, and the new playground. This school agreed to take over the community's cooperative preschool program for 3 & 4 year-olds. Next year the 5k will go to an all-day program. This school really helped my kids adjust from the big city to small town life. They were both well-prepared for middle school. Because they both spoke in front at Mass, they were better prepared than their friends for public speaking.

I am very disappointed with the school, the communication is poor, discipline and safety of the children is poor, the facility is very unorganized. The class sizes are small, but the individual attention is not there. The lack of technology, I believe, will make the transition to middle school even more difficult. I have chosen to withdrawal my children and send them to public before they are so far behind.
