We have been part of the St Mark’s family for 3 years! Our experience has been exceptional and my 3 daughters are getting not only a great academic education, but high moral values and religious beliefs. School has been growing over the past few years as a new Marine Lab was opened last year, new artificial grass soccer field and playgrounds for the little ones this year and currently in the process of building a State of Art Science Building. But more importantly, this school is like a Big Family where Home Room Teachers, other faculty and administration give children a safe and home like environment which is great for their mental and social development. Parent - Teacher communication is exceptional and we always know what is going on in school, with my daughters and the community. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We joined the Saint Mark's community six years ago. As a new family that didn't grow up in the area, we didn't know anyone but immediately felt welcomed by the administration, teachers, and staff. We wanted a small, loving community with a strong emphasis on academics, leadership and individuality. Saint Mark's has achieved that and then some! We have three children with different strengths and challenges and they have always received the support and individualized attention they need and deserve. We are grateful to be part of such a special school and community!

We are new to St. Mark's this year and my son is in 5th grade. Although he was nervous switching from a public school, he is thriving at St. Mark's. His grades and mental health went downhill during the pandemic, and now he is enjoying school again. The teachers are very dedicated and the staff is very involved. He has turned all of his grades around, and is even participating in sports. The academics are more challenging and keep him engaged. One of my concerns was diversity, as we are a multiracial family. I find that the students are diverse, and so is the staff. They even paired my son with a few "buddies" the first week to help navigate the campus and not fell alone. The school has a no bullying policy and takes it very seriously. The middle school students recently had to attend discussions on kindness, bullying etc. The religion class incorporates other cultures and religions so the students get to learn about others. The leadership seems very involved and are all approachable with any questions or concerns. This is a smaller school than the one we previously attended, and has a wonderful family feel when walking the campus. As a parent, we are able to see student progress daily, in real -time, and there is also a portal with weekly homework and daily class plans. All of the teachers offer optional help sessions if your student has questions, or needs a little extra help. Another plus is that the school is a Google classroom school. All of their text books are online, and loaded on their laptops. There are a few workbooks that are at home for homework, but everything is online. There is so much to say about SMES, this has been a wonderful transition for us, and I am happy with the progress my son has made this year.

Saint Marks is an incredible school that nurtured my daughters academic growth along with her abilities to be a caring good person. The teachers care and look after their students. The expectations, homework, and overall approach is appropriate to get students ready for high school. My daughter is in her first year of high and is thriving in advanced classes. Thank you Saint Marks.

Having been a member of the St Marks community for my entire life I was thrilled sending my child to school there. Unfortunately, the school employs a one size fits all mentality with less interest in harvesting ones unique talents and skills and instead attempting to fit everyone into the same box. It would be wise for leadership to step back and reevaluate their process.

I have taught at St. Mark's since 2011 and now I have the pleasure of being a parent at the school! If you are looking for an open and inclusive community to send your children, then St. Mark's is it! Your child will receive a caring, tailored, and well-rounded education even at the PK2 level. St. Mark's is a family. Join us!

This is our first year and we couldn't be happier with the School Leadership, Academics and Safety Precautions during this period of Covid. We are grateful for the opportunity to be in classrooms safely with teachers that care.

I am impressed by the forward thinking and "roll up your sleeves and jump right in" philosophy of the administration to make Saint Mark's the best school it can be. I feel 100% confident about the safety measures Saint Mark's has taken to protect my daughter. They have invested time and money into making synchronous learning successful and seamless. I was very impressed by the open communication by Dr. Taintor and the administration to keep us informed every step of the way during these unprecedented times. We always knew what the plan was. SME is a model school. The teachers and administration really set this school apart from other schools in the area. I love the family atmosphere and the experience we have had with my daughter's wonderful teachers, support staff and administrators. The principal has personally called several times to see how my daughter was doing to get my feedback. I appreciate the personal touch! Many have gone out of their way to ensure my daughter's happiness, educational growth and success and our peace of mind as parents. I love hearing about my daughter's day at Saint Mark's each evening! SME is amazing and I highly recommend!

My kids are extremely happy going to school every morning and that says a lot. They are challenged and it is hard work but the school is really ready to make sure every child succeeds and that they stay motivated. Excellent community.

This is our first year at St. Mark's and our daughter has had the best year ever! The teachers are incredible, the staff caring and the school offers many different programs after school. They have risen to the challenge of distant learning beautifully and we feel like we received a wonderful education despite the quarantine. I have nothing but kinds words about this school and their staff.

St. Mark’s Episcopal School Fort Lauderdale is an amazing school. My daughters transferred as first and fourth graders. We were immediately blown away by how much more challenging and involved the curriculum was compared to their other school. The teachers are engaging and approachable. Parent-teacher communication is a high priority and I always know in advance what upcoming topics, assignments, and projects will be. Since becoming St. Mark's students, my daughters have both increased their standardized test scores, have become more avid readers, and have been challenged in math and science with educational goals that are tailored to their specific needs. Additionally, since this is a faith based school, I have seen teachers and administration take a vested interest in the development of their morals, values, and the relationships they cultivate with friends and family. The student-teacher ratios are perfect (about 13:1). Our family cannot recommend St. Mark's enough.

We were excited to try St Marks Mothers Morning Out. The school was not enthusiastic about the children and the staff seemed miserable. The teachers were very insensitive and we’re unprofessional. I would not recommend St Marks.

I would rate St Marks Excellent! We are so happy with our kids experience at St. Marks. They started in middle school and if we had known how exceptional our experience was going to be we would have enrolled them sooner. Our son was able to participate in a sport every season. Our daughter performed in the school musicals and participated in chamber choir and show choir. The teachers are phenomenal and work closely with each child and the parents and their individual needs. We will greatly miss St Marks as our kids graduate and move on to the high school of their choice thanks to everyone at St Marks.

St Marks has been an exceptional place for our daughter. Consistent high standards in educational experience, but also, as importantly, an emphasis to developing well rounded skills as an individual in teaching respect, integrity, and self confidence.

St. Mark’s was the absolute best choice for our family. We have been there for ten years and have made lifelong friendships. The education my child got was top notch. Best sports and music programs in town. High schools love to get St. Mark’s kids because they come prepared!!
