My daughter has been coming here since kindergarten, she is now a third grader the Teachers and staff here are amazing! the pandemic came and I was just in awe of how much the teachers went above and beyond to help them and even now that they're back in class. My daughter is currently needing a little extra help and i'm so grateful for Ms.Castillo, Ms.Chin and her teacher of course Ms. Chong, for going that extra mile to make sure she is getting the help she needs.

It’s a good school overall. But the parent involvement seems minimal. It does not feel like a tight knit community. It’s not very diverse either but to us it’s not a dealbreaker. What we care about is test scores and a safe, clean environment. And Monarch delivers. It’s the only school in east Oakland with test scores at the state level. I like the college for certain attitude and kids wearing uniforms. Kids will be kids but the school sets the tone- learning is the most important thing. The teachers are kind and professional. And the principal is welcoming and responsive.

I love the Excellent security at this school. The staff and administrators make sure the children learn in a safe environment. No one can just walk onto the school grounds without a pass from the office and kids are released to parents or documented guardians only. The curriculum ensures these children will definitely be at a greater level education wise than most other schools. The only draw back I see is there is a need for more recess time to ensure the children have time to let out their pinneded up energy especially the lunch recess. Overall fantastic school!

Monarch Academy feels like a second family. All the staff on campus show that they care about our students. The teachers are very dedicated and go beyond expectations!
