    crowded classrooms, too hectic to learn in. The overall environment is not heathy. My son gets sick a lot.

    This is an excellent school with a dedicated staff led by a superb principal. Students have made dramatic academic gains in the past four yeas since Aspire has taken over. Class sizes are small and students receive a good amount of small group instruction. I would highly recommend this school to any family in Oakland.
