Willow Brook is part of an unusual school system (Oak Ridge, TN) which was a Secret City during World War II for the development of the Atomic Bomb. The town is full of scientists but also has public housing projects. The community is heavily invested in education and also believes deeply in equality. In 1946, Oak Ridge was the first school system in the Southeast to fully integrate its schools. Consistent with those goals, the community sees that Willow Brook (a Title 1 school) has the resources it needs. The teachers are among the best you'll find anywhere. Families are welcomed and grow very close to the staff during the time their children are here. Fourth grade graduation to middle school is a bittersweet time with many families displaying signs and decorating their cars in love and appreciation for the school. Your child will be known by name here and will get all the help he or she needs. This is community education at its best.

Willow Brook is a great school for your student to learn and grow! The teachers here a nice and truly care for the students. Definitely, recommend going here!

the staff are really nice and friendly. This school loves to have fun, unfortunately that is not what students need to learn and excel in their future lives and endeavors. This school needs to concentrate on the core subjects that cause children to excel in order to be able to enjoy their childhood while learning and not held back in future schools because of their lack of learning in elementary school. Its sad when a school is more interested in making sure kids have fun and being their friend than their teacher, learner, mentor and role model to strive harder to want to learn everyday and not that playing is paramount in life.
