Both of my children have graduated from this school and I will miss it very much. Wonderful sense of community. The general music teacher is exceptionally strong and runs a steel band program that is one in a million. My children both enjoyed their years at Hatch and flourished. The oldest has been successful in middle school, the youngest is poised and ready. They both formed many excellent friendships that endure.

I had 2 kids graduate from Hatch Elementary. Both did excellently at Brooks Middle School & OPRF High School.. The oldest is now in college and was very well prepared. I cannot say enough about the education that my children have received in Oak Park, IL.

This school is top notch. The teachers have been excellent for our two kids, and we couldn't be happier. BTW, the Illinois State Board of Education just released their annual School Report Card, and achieved "Exemplary" status. Exemplary status, is granted to schools that are performing in the top 10% of schools statewide and have no under performing student groups.

Excellent teachers who are focused on the whole child. A small school with a strong community vibe. Been here two years and have been very happy.

Generally good. It is a lovely small school and everyone knows everyone. The Principal is very positive and has a can do attitude. Most of the teachers are outstanding. The school could do more to allow parents in and to be involved. They really try to keep parents out of the school far too much. The safety concerns really have been overblown and to the detriment of the children.

The principal Mrs. Carter is wonderful. She loves her student and staff. It is an honor for my child to attend this school.

I can't say enough about Hatch. We moved to Oak Park from the city and when we were moving all we heard about was Mann, so I was nervous about settling for anything less. Well, I am glad we are at Hatch. The school is warm and friendly and child-focused. The teachers are bright, enthusiastic and caring. The classes are small and everyone knows each other. I have two daughters in Kindergarten and 2nd grade. I am truly impressed with how much they are learning. The quality of the education is outstanding and the atmosphere is warm, friendly, and conducive to learning. I am a doctor and I take education seriously. My children love going to school and love to learn. Mrs. Carter, the principal, knows everyone and treats everyone with respect. Mrs. Hammond in the front office is also outstanding. I can't believe how she knows every family member. We are considering a move and it is so hard to decide because we love our school so much. Thanks Hatch.

I went to Hatch over 30 years ago and loved it then. I am glad to see it is still doing well and the kids are loving it.
