My son has gone here kindergarten through 4th grade, and I’m very happy with how the school is run. In 5 years we’ve only had issues with one teacher (she was ready to retire, and it showed). The teachers and leadership team are very supportive and all seem to genuinely care about the kids.

Being new to Oak harbor, my son was very nervous about attending a new school. His teacher and other staff members made him feel comfortable and accepted. He quickly settled in. The year passed and he did fantastic, with the help of his amazing teacher and classmates. He(we) loves broadview!

My kids have thrived in the accelerated and regular classrooms. The teachers are student focused and the additional help students get as needed is above the standard I've seen in other schools. Bussing is a positive social hour, walk time before school and recess are used appropriately to teach physical fitness as fun and compliment PE classes. The music and art programs are exceptional. Academics are stressed in a fun and doable manner. Our kids always test well on state tests and can carry informed, educated conversations with their peers and adults. You couldn't ask for a better school with a true neighborhood feel.

Our son had the best experience at this school. He was struggling in some academic areas when he arrived and left well above grade level. It was amazing! It is also a fun and caring place with a strong and active PTA.

What a great school! We actually live in another school's boundary but one of our children qualified for the GATE program, which is at Broad View. After her first year there, we applied to have all our kids transfer because we liked it so much :) The staff are friendly & enthusiastic & obviously invested in all the students. The resource department is fantastic - I truly feel that my special needs child is getting a well-rounded education personalized for him as an individual. Academically, I have no complaints, the teachers & curriculum keep my kids excited about learning. The PTA is very active, involved, & approachable. There is a great feeling of community. Values & characteristics such as having empathy, showing respect, giving service, persevering (to name just a few) are promoted & students observed exhibiting them are recognized weekly, which encourages the whole student body :) Broad View staff truly seem to care about my kids' character development as well as their academic learning. We love Broad View!

Broadview is a welcoming school with many different activities students can participate in. Both my daughters attended here and they received differentiated instruction that was engaging.
