My son is in the 1st grade at Naramake and we have had the most amazing experience! The teachers are warm, compassionate and truly have a passion for what they do. I've seen my son thrive in the short time he has been there. Also, the families we have met there are amazing--involved, supportive, fun. My daughter will start kindergarten in the Fall and we couldn't be happier

I’ve had 2 children go through Naramake. My youngest is graduating this year. I’ll be sad to say goodbye, but am so thankful my kids got to experience this school. They have both excelled academically. The dedicated teachers and staff create a dynamic and nurturing environment that encourages learning. The school has a very active PTA that plans great family events. Both my kids and I have made some lifelong friends. I would highly reccomend Naramake to anyone in Norwalk.

Based on the words of a colleague whose children had gone through Naramake, I was encouraged to only shop for houses in this district. Now that my daughter is in the midst of her second year, I can see why. This school creates a nurturing and academic environment. As a teacher myself, I am in awe of how personalized the instruction is. The teachers quickly learn about the students’ strengths and place them into small learning groups (usually about 3 students) that promote collaboration, engagement, and the appropriate degree of challenge. My first grader taught me and all of her family members about the Alberti disk! Whenever I visit the school or contact the teachers, I feel welcome. My son will start next year and I am Thankful that Naramake attempts to place siblings with same kindergarten teacher as a way to ease the transition and maintain family bonds. It is just a wonderful place!

My son is currently in 3rd grade at Naramake and we have been thrilled with the experience. The teachers, administrators, and all the staff are fabulous. They are enthusiastic, supportive, caring....everything you would want. They are great at communicating with and involving parents. Overall great school.

My son has attended Naramake since Kindergarten and he is currently in the third grade there. Overall, he has had a wonderful experience at this school. Great teachers, a supportive principal and involved parents make Naramake one of the best elementary schools in Norwalk, and recent test scores support this.

Naramake Elementary is a really great school. My daughter is in first grade, and we all love it. "Caring, Sharing, Learning", the schools motto is a perfect fit for it's atmosphere.

This review is for the FRC Preschool which used to be housed in the Naramake Elementary School and is now in the Norwalk High School. The program used to set the standard for all that was great in early childhood education. The two head teachers there (who both left at the same time in 2012) were professional and ran great classrooms. Unfortunately after their departure coupled with a new administration the program declined in every way possible. The new location is terrible. Its lovely picking up your child while high school kids are hanging around having a signature or uttering some swear word. The new teachers who were hired in one room were more suited to a playgroup or daycare. The new administration took what was a much fought after program in our community to what is now more like a daycare. If its a daycare you are looking for, look no further. This preschool does not now deserve to inherit the great reputation it had gained over the years. Look at the reviews in 2008, 2009 etc and they speak to how it was not how it is now.

Apparently, the brainwashed happy Naramake mommies have a hard time dealing with reality, as the "appalling" email to which one poster is referring is no longer visible. The truth hurts, doesn't it?

To the most recent poster: Equally 'appalling' are usage errors. For example, as a verb 'effect' means to "bring about." I believe you meant to use the word: 'affect' which means "to have an influence on; bring about a change in." Speaking of verbs, your 'structured...sentence:' "Atrocious and absolutely unacceptable!" is lacking one, and therefore is not a sentence but rather a sentence fragment.
