So much sexism, it's truly so sickening how no one addresses this

This is our first year experiencing the highschool. Although the block schedule is very frustrating and confusing my daughter has mastered it. I'm unclear as to why that schedule is in place and feel maybe it's from lack of teachers, I think that a regular class schedule is much more comfortable to kids and would help them succeed more. That being said with the short time my daughter has been there she has had many positivea experiences and is doing very well.

I would rate all but one or two of the teachers at this school above average, I live and work in Fairbanks 20 miles away 1 mile away from Lathrop High School and I choose to spend an extra $20 per day in fuel just to go to this school, the automotive program is by far the best in the district, some will argue that and that argument is based on the fact that Hutch's auto program gets more funding and advertisement because it is in a more convenient area to be connected to the university auto program, but where North Pole excels is the Automotive Program instructor Jerry Million, he recognizes success in students and pushes them to do their best with a broad knowledge in automotive technology. The downfalls to this school is the way the in school "government" is set up, a student was stoned in class and should have been expelled but because he was black only got a lunch detention, I see alot of the administration being afraid to discipline African American children the same way they would discipline anyone else.

This school has gone down hill since my daughter was enrolled in 2008. The worst part of this school is the office staff. The two front office ladies are the worst office staff I have ever had the misfortion to speak with or try to get service from. They need to learn to get off their but and do their job. I have tried to call my daughter out various times, but I always get the voicemail and they have yet to send my daughter a pass.

I currently go to North Pole High School, and above all the others schools in this district, this one is by far the best. The students here get along with each other very well, and there are hardly any fights. There are many helpful teachers and students around if someone has any questions. This school has good academics for both advanced and average students. I am an advanced student and I do feel that I am being taught and challenged by my teachers. I also participate in the music program. I am a choir student and i enjoy it very much. The teacher is a great person, and the choirs sound beautiful. I believe this review will be helpful as an opinion from the inside of the school, and not simply as an observation. I thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts about my school.
