My son started out at the Pathway School back in 2016 when he was transitioning into second grade. My son went to ESY summer camp first, then started the Academic year. Within him starting at Pathway in about a month his behaviors decreased and he started to progress in his learning. Furthermore, he was able to stay with the same teacher for four years , which huge! Because the students and staff can form a bond with their teachers. Furthermore, I love that the school is in a campus with open space! I really do think over all it helps the environment of the students and staff to have such an open space. Third , the staff and administrators really do go out of their way to care for the students to help them to reach their potential!

This school has nevrr left us with doubts that we made the right choice. Our son was an outgoing kid with lots of friends, but had challenges and needs at one time especially that made him a difficult placement that the school district was just unable to handle. I cannot begin to imagine where we might be now had we not found and enrolled him here. We had been given advice to let the police start a record because the thought was "things would get worse" and I may need intervention one day ect. He was eight. Years went by and I could see that it wasn't so much my son as it was the struggle with how he was learning, as we just did not experience what they did at school. He was at a time of crisis and I am grateful we have him there now because it changed almost immediately. He became a great student, was well liked again, teachers thought the world of him and he watched his self esteem grow finally once more. The damage that occured before is there, but he sees it as experience that makes him appreciate Pathway all the more and he loves this school! It has been a life saver for all of us. There are some trade-offs, but also some things I am happy to not have to worry about as well. And the education is on par for his needs, including transition services should he choose them plus the employment opportunities he enjoys. And the teachers and staff have been wonderful! They know what parents have been through before arriving here and are supportive which is for some, sometimes a whole new feeling. I feel we made a great choice and he does too!

This school SAVED my son's life! He has Aspergers and around age 10 he was having meltdowns daily, on half days at school, had been hospitalized for being suicidal (he knew he had it and was angry about it) but by the grace of God and being in the right place at the right time, my son was accepted into pathway for his middle school years. He has now transitioned to a mainstream high school and is getting straight A's, making friends and being sought after by girls! Plus he is the coolest kid I know, sarcastic, funny and so smart! The changes in him are remarkable. The staff, teachers etc. are superb. I could not have asked for a better experience for my son. I owe them my life for saving his!
