From a graduating senior, Norview high is a school that can give students many different experiences based on their choices. there are many different routes that can be taken through Norview. How well a student does at the school is mostly based on them and their own decisions. Teachers and counselors can't be fully blamed for the sub-par student performance in the school, as a noticeable part of the student population lacks self-motivation/initiative. There are many opportunities for advanced courses such as Honors or AP classes available to all students, not just those in the specialty program. To parents nervous about their child attending this school in the future, they'll be fine if they use good judgment, stick to their work, and hang with the right people. In my opinion, the school can do a good job preparing students for college or a vocation, as long as the student has the initiative to put themselves into the necessary classes or programs to ensure they have a stable future beyond high school. In terms of the school's safety, it can get a little rough sometimes with the constant fights, but in my opinion, they're just a part of growing up I guess, avoid them and dont think too much of them.Overall, I think Norview High can be made a good school by a focused, driven student, or made a bad school by an unfocused student just drifting along in the river of life. To concerned parents, your child will be fine, as long as you ensure they are completing their necessary coursework and not lingering in the hallways.

The school itself has major issues. The good teachers are bullied by the administration, they admitted a new principal who was never at the school and would never help solve issues. They have no interest in students and mostly just push them out to graduate, no matter how badly the student is in school they give them a packet and push them out. Most students dread going to school every morning and there is no punishments for any teacher who is harassing a student.

Norview is not as great as people say it is as of this the 2014-15 year so far there have been so many food fights like once per day. Milks being thrown on to the central staircase 2nd floor. I fear for this school because the some of the students are on the road to self destruction and take other people with them by causing a disruptive learning environment. And I do wonder how some teachers don't see or hear any thing are they like blind or def. The administration is rather good. But the security guards are problems when they don't know the names of teachers because I was accused as of writing my own pass.
