This has been the ABSOLUTE WORST school experience I have ever personally encountered. The treatment my child received here is absolutely repulsive, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. The biggest issue is the principal and it trickles down stream from there. DO NOT SEND YOUR KID TO THIS "SCHOOL".

The school has gone down greatly since I went there. They need a principal with better morals guiding the students.

We are fairly new to this community, but have enjoyed Niota. The staff really does didicate their time to helping these students achieve more.

This school is horrible! My child went to a different school for the first 5 years of school and this school system was a shock! The parents aren't allowed to be involved with the kids school work, they do not get sent home with homework, and the atmosphere when one walk into the school is one of boredom. The children's minds are not stimulated and it makes for a rowdy bunch of kids that are allowed to roam free. I have walked into the school (lunch room being directly to the right) and not been able to hear myself think. Not to mention when I went into the office the secretary was quite "snobbish". The teachers also acted like they didn't care to be there. I went on a field trip for my child's class and I have never felt so alienated on a field trip ever. I have always been very active in my child's school life, helping in the classroom and such. It was a shock to my system to not be involved. If I had the choice of sending my child elsewhere I certainly would!

I agree with 01/10/07,10/08/08,3/05/09 4/29/09 and 8/27/09! I definitely agree about the unfriendliness and the school not doing much about complaints. I also gree with the fact there are only a few teachers that REALLY care about the kids and that they don't challenge the kids at all! I feel that some of the teachers aides are awful as well as don't need to have the job if they have certain picks that they help (which is not fair to the kids).

Niota Elementary school has the best and most dedicated teachers. The teacher's at niota will go in early or stay late to help in anyway they can. Niota has excellent and very quilfied teachers and helpers. The leadership and principal are very eager to help in anyway. The academic program is very challenging on all level's. I had two son's to attend and graduate at Niota and currently have a daughter attending now. I highly reccommend Niota Elementary School to anyone new in the area.
