The school is not clear on its values. Lack of communication and transparency is an ongoing concern for parents and students

Our son is a student here: Excellent education at all grade levels; kids learn to think for themselves; students are taught to respect differences among their peers and allow each other to express their individuality; deeply dedicated teachers and administrative staff: students learn about the real works and are prepared to hit the ground running in college when they graduate. Very responsive admin staff to parents' questions and concerns. The school will work closely with you to ensure that your child has a fulfilling educational and personal growth experience during their four years here.

George School was a great place for me. I was there for grades 9-12 and would do it all over. There were some great teachers, coaches and a diverse campus community of students who wanted to learn. Notably, many of the teachers graduated from George School and have taught there for decades. The classes were challenging and made me think. I learned how to be myself because of my experiences at George School; that is an invaluable lesson! The school is updating its facilities with an all-weather track/turf field, renovated dinning facilities and an athletics field house on the south end of campus. These improvements are slightly overdue, but essential to the longevity of this very special place. The student life, especially activities for boarders, has been improving too, but was lacking when I was a student. Keep in mind, no place is perfect. So, go check this warm and welcoming community out for yourself, you won't be sorry.

I had a great experience at George school. I graduated in 2012 and as a freshman in college now, I miss it incredibly but feel like it prepared me extremely well for college. I wouldn't have wanted to experience high school anywhere else.

George School is an incredible school for those looking to challenge themselves. However, like almost every other school, you get what you put into it. You can choose the difficulty of your classes, and it's tempting to opt for the easy classes and slide by. But if you really want to get the "bang for your buck", take advantage of the IB and AP programs. You will not only find really passionate teachers but you will also find out what you're capable of...and it's definitely worth it.

I transfered to George School as a sophomore from my public school, it changed my life. You are treated as an individual, not just a number. The teacher relationships is truly remarkable considering many of them live with you in the dorms. I was a student who got good grades before coming to GS, but the teachers challenged me and questioned my values. This school changed my life because it re-invented learning for me. The faculty is inspiring and everyone including the grounds crew are a valued part of the community. I am so appreciative of my George School education because it has shaped my character into something I am proud of.

I personally like it here. The community is welcoming and friendly, moreso than most other high schools. The academics are challenging if you would like them to be. Going here really can be life changing, in a good way. I suggest going here if you want a good, unique school experience. Totally worth the price!
