My husband and I decided to enroll our four year old daughter in Pre-K at St. Francis Xavier due to its convenient location and reasonable tuition (just slightly more than Forest Glen's Pre-K program which is part of the Bloomfield public school system). We also loved the idea of having our daughter receive a catholic school education to help reinforce what we teach her at home. SFX has been absolutely wonderful! The Principal is really devoted to the school and making sure the curriculum is the best that it can be. One of the best parts is that the school is small, so it gives the kids an opportunity to form great relationships with both the staff and their peers. I definitely recommend SFX school! - Lucy LT.

I am a new parent to Saint Francis Xavier. My children (1st & 5th grades) started in September 2015. We attended another Catholic school in another town previously. We decided that SFX was a better fit for our family because there was little diversity in their previous school. This school is a hidden gem and a diamond in the rough. The new principal is a breath of fresh air and is leading the charge to take the school to another level. The school is smaller so the teachers and staff have the time to put extra care and extra effort into providing your child with the VERY BEST education possible. I wish I had found this school sooner in my private school search. I look forward to many years at SFX. As well as, when my youngest child can also start here...Very Glad I found this school...Shante B.

Very disorganized school. No plan of communication to parents. New principal make new policies without consulting feedback. She has an attitude doesn't even let you finish your sentence. It's definitively a school in the hood, not very diverse compose mainly of Spanish population.School itself needs some remodeling, very old appearence and doesn't keep up with technology. They still run school like 20 years ago technology. No use of email. If you can stay away from this school.

Excellent school. The staff are professional and the children learn in an environment that is safe and supportive. The teachers and Sr. Clare really work towards providing an environment that is conducive to learning.

St. Francis is an old-fashioned school with great values and educational methods. I am glad I sent both my children to this school who cares so much about its children. I can't imagine ever sending them anywhere else.

St. Francis Xavier is an excellent school. In my opinion, it is one of the most reputable grammar schools in the northern New Jersey area. The curriculum is challenging, the teachers are attentive and genuinely caring, the students are well behaved and well mannered and the faculty sets an extraordinary example for the student body. I am proud to say my daughter is a student at St. Francis. I do not have a negative thing to say about the school.

They are a great school! my daughter has very good grades and she loves the school and the teachers are great! at St. Francis you get a great education and you also are taught respect and that everyone has the same goal to learn and to respect one another, and the principal is an excellent principal! all of the children love her. thank god for sister Clare.

My niece, Diana, has attended St. Francis sice kindergarten. She loves it! I know that her parents feel that she is getting a quality education and being taught good values and respect. A good education is very important and St. Francis provides this and more!

I love St Francis Xavier School because I feel that my daughters are getting a great education. The classes are small and there is more attention given to a child that needs the help. The principal Sr Clare is great with all the students. I also like the environment they are in and also that they have prayers every morning. The children have an understanding of the Catholic faith. It is a great school.

The teachers are outstanding.The small classes give more attention to the students.There are many different exciting programs that get the students involved.The students not only are taught academically but also spiritually.
