As a kid at the school who went through 7th and 8th grade it was I very difficult but good environment than public as I had go there before Holy Angels as for the teachers they were awesome I can vouch for the younger grades they have have problems but I wild say 5 though 8 is different my teachers could have not done a better job at preparing me for high school as the first year was everything I learn there with Covid I was lost but though them and am now a A and B proud student athlete who can do my work with ease and understanding what is being taught as they focus on getting it and not just passing now for thing outside of learning the school is pretty strict but it does teach you principles and grow in your faith for lunch it’s great it is a bit of money but for the great food they have it’s definitely worth it for the sports there is nothing better than holy angels sports the football team has won almost every year for the past 20 years and the amount of talent they product is amazing but why I am giving this five stars is because the friends I made and are still currently friend with above all other thing this is the best school to make life long friends and always be happy to come to school I would not be the same person I am without holy angels and really do believe if you want to put your faith and safety with any school it should be Holy Angels

My child's experience at this school was shockingly horrible. My son's classmate put him in a chokehold. When I picked up my son he was mute and in shock; just staring out the car window. I asked him what had happened and he told me about the incident. He continued to say that the class teacher was to investigate the following day. The next day we went to the principal's office to complain. Nothing had been reported, and the other kid wasn't punished. The education system is excellent only if your child is smart and is hardworking, and knows his/her rights. I'm lucky to have a smart kid. He was among the kids that were grouped as "smart and well behaved" while at Holy Angels....but with the chokehold incident being downplayed like that... I'd rather have a dumb kid that's alive! He's now at the top of his class at a charter school.

This school has turned into a hostile environment with the arrival of a new principal. The principal tells teachers to “handle behavioral issues themselves” because she can’t be bothered to do anything. Students that are sent to the office are sent right back minutes later. If a teacher asks for a meeting with both a parent and the principal, nothing gets done. Students with learning disorders or behavior issues are all put into the same class while all the other good students are in another. This is not a good learning environment for the students or the teachers. I will not recommend this school to anyone.

It is terrible. Unfortunately it has gotten to the point where she wants to transfer out to a public school. This school has effected her very negatively mentally. I highly suggest not sending your children here.

My experience at this school is great. They are improving the education system often, every one are friendly, kind and always helping each other.

Our experience was God awful and we would never recommend this school to anyone. The education is sub par and we realized this once our children started public school and learned they were 2 academic years behind. The bullying is an out of control issue. Compared to our current schools, the teachers here are miserable and it appears they just don’t want to be there. Mrs. Snively is too worried about numbers and not worried enough about the character or integrity of her students. She is an awful leader and has no business running that school

I sent three children through this school and continue to keep involved. It has a dedicated teachers and a terrific administration that cares about the students.

Bullying is allowed to continue with no real consequences at all. The Admin is a joke. My wife and I have always raised our children to be well-behaved respectful individuals, but after years of torment, I told my son, "The next time that kid does that to you, pop him right in the mouth!" Being a really good kid, my son's response, "Dad, if I do that, then I'LL be in trouble!" So the lesson we learned at Holy Angels, "It's better to be the bully, than be bullied." What a horrible lesson to teach a young child. It never mattered how many meetings we had with the Admin, nothing ever changed in my son's years there. I don't know if they are spineless because they feel they need all the money they can get and can't afford to throw bullies out? I don't know. It never made sense to me. If they'd just throw out the 6-8 bullies, everyone would be much happier. Instead they do everything in their power to keep and protect those kids and everyone is miserable.

This used to be a great school. The educators are still great. The issue with the school is the lack of backbone that the principal and vice principal have. The amount of children with behavioral issues is astonishing. When these children act out, the principal and vice principal coddle them and keep them included to the detriment of the "good "kids and the detriment of the school. It's a shame what has happened to this school in the 5 year period that this admistratio has been in place.

I had a good experience for 2 nd grade, so continued to keep him there for third grade. it was a challenge with one of his teachers who did not understand my son's disabilities due to his disorder. He Is not affected academically but fine motor and motor planning is a challenge so he is at a slower ace and does less school work. A modified education plan meeting was done but both of his teachers told me they did not have a copy later in the year. Recess detention is part of discipline policy, however, not enforced because my son refused the recess detention! When 4 th grade came there was no modified education plan meeting which was supposed to happen beginning of the year. I created one based on his 504 plan and last year's modified plan, had my Dr. Sign it and was told one of the teachers feels it is too much and she cannot do it. A meeting was held beginning of the year regarding my child's needs due to problems. Teachers were informed of strengths & weaknesses. They did exactly what I told them not to do because there would be problems with sensory issues and anxiety. Problem after problem until I finally pulled him out. Bullying is an issue, staff making inappropriate psychiatric diagnoses about my child, lack of adult supervision. Every time there was a problem, no adult witness. Everything was based upon what other children said, so inappropriate. There are cameras everywhere but no videos of when my child was picked on or when oh her children who,did not like him told stories. Now they are nickel and dining me with my refund bc I paid full.tuition for the year. So much for wanting my child to be in a Catholic Christian environment. Always asking for money like I have a money tree someplace. Tried to bully me into having a psychoeducation evaluation and paying out of pocket for it. My son is the 3 rd 4 th grade student no longer enrolled. Do not enroll your child if he/she has any special needs, there will be labeling & judging all around. Teachers there do not know how to deal with children who differ from the average child.

I enrolled my child, (with the age of 13) at Holy Angels considering its relatively cheap prices and I was trying to get away from the school my child came from, Independence. The academics in the middle school were extremely unacceptable. Even though my 13 year old 8th grader was in the highest phases at Holy Angels, he was learning material that he had learned in 6th grade, was using books that he had learned in sixth grade, and was more than a year ahead in his 8th grade "Algebra 1" class. He came from taking a harder course, Algebra 1, his previous year at Independence, and he was learning easier material as an eighth grader compared to seventh grade at Independence. In addition, Geometry was not even offered in 8th grade while it is at Independence. I was disturbed by how easy the material was covered in my son's eighth grade class. Although the administration is nice, the education is horrid.

All in all a great school, they have slipped a bit in following up with parents on certain issues, it's like they just totally blew us off. Even when reminding them about it we never heard back. Aftercare is expensive. they nickel and dime us for every little thing. the rule making parents buy uniforms from Rush Uniform is a crock of nonsense, what kind of deal does HA have with them? But our kids are safe... getting a good education.

We had a horrible experience with this school. First the prek-3 teacher quit at xmas. The new teacher was lovely but the school kept admitting students (sometime, 2 year old who weren't potty trained). On any day the class would have 17-25 students with ONE teacher. A child in prek-3 managed to get himself locked out of the school and the prek-3 class (it's in a trailer behind the school) due to not being properly escorted to his class. Our other child was in kindergarten and that wasn't much better. The content and pace was overwhelming. They start Terra Nova testing in kindergarten. We were constantly meeting with the teacher (who's spellilng abilities were less than acceptable on a regular basis) about our child's performance and behavior. We were advised to have our child evaluated by the school district. We did. His results came back average for his age. Nothing below average and even a few components above average. His teacher suggested retaining him in kindergarten. When we met with the school district, after seen the results of his evaluation and tests throughout the year, they advised not to. It was a disaster year. My kids will not be returninng.
