I currently attend Gauger, and it’s not really as bad as people say it is. The teachers (at least mine) are nice and want to help you. One particular 8th grade teacher seems really mean and strict at first but what she teaches is super helpful and she really isn’t that bad when you’re used to it. There is a strong Cambridge Honors Program for grades 6-8. In 8th grade, the advanced students be challenged with Algebra I high school math. The teachers the music electives and others are fun too. We have a reward system where Cobra (our mascot) Cash is given to students by staff, and we can use it for raffles every other Friday, or some PBS events. Fights are frequent though, usually at least 1 per week. I guess I’m kinda a “teachers pet” for staying out of trouble, so I can’t really tell you what else goes on other than what I have seen/experienced.

Terrible. I have been stabbed in the arm at this school, bullied by teachers, sexually harassed and the cop in this school does nothing!

This school should be ashamed of itself. The students are never given homework. They are not challenged whatsoever within the in school curriculum. My honor roll student watches movies at least once per week. The movies are not even educational. The teachers completely disingenuous towards the students success. While a school trip, a teacher lost her cell phone and proceeded to accuse the entire class. My child came home and cried because she, and the entire grade, were told they'd all be disciplined since no one would confess to the theft of the phone. The teacher found the phone and never even apologized. The school is run like a poorly orchestrated circus. Send your child anywhere else before this school. Thank go we are on a waiting list for a better school.

I am going into 8th grade at Gauger. This school is filled with kind, smart, and dedicated teachers. People are wrong about Gauger. Sure, there are bullies, but which school doesn't? Gauger is very proficient and a great place to learn.

What? this school is great! People are judging this school of how it looks. It's how the children get an education that matters. I give this school a (: !!!!

I went to this school for 2 years, they have these thin walls you can hear everything that other classes are saying and they don't really help you what so ever with educational help or to understand something . The rugs are taped together. There were so many fights every day. Teachers are rude. Kids distract classes so you CAN'T focas on what they're teaching. This school is incredibly boring.

I love this school, most teachers are nice and really care. They make learning interesting. My favorite teacher ever was Mrs.Gilpin. (6th grade social studies). Theres only a few problems. 1- the carpets. they are so old and are ductaped together in some places. 2- The walls and ceilings. The walls arent very stable, because when the school was built there were no inside walls and they were added later. The ceilings leak when it rains. And lastly, the busses. They are WAY overcrouded, late ALL the time, and atleast one bus breaks down every month. But I'd say for the most part at Gauger, the good outweighs the bad. With everything I said about the problems there, it might seem like a not-so-good school. But really, its a pretty good school. . dont think Gauger is a bad school because of what I said. There is no perfect public middle school. Gauger is about as close as it gets. (: I love this school. They do so much to prevent bullying, so much. And almost always, it works. But, like I said, nothings perfect. Theres nothing more they could do to prevent bullying. The education is really good too (: Right now i'm doing 7th grade work in 6 grade. (: Ok, im out of room now. Byeee :) :)
