The school has changed since it no longer has Assistant Principal David Walsvik there. He really cared about the kids and the teachers and it showed in his daily work ethic. His replacement truly does not care about the kids or the teachers. What a shame. Someone needs to check into the Superintendent.

Principal Anderson and Assistant Principal David Walsvik do an excellent job at Edwin Loe Elementary. They show how much they care about and for the children. Mr. Walsvik also really cares about helping the teachers and staff. I have never seen an assistant principal like Mr. Walsvik who is so loved and obeyed by the children. New Town is very fortunate to have someone like him on their staff caring for the children of New Town.

The Elementary school seems to be a good seed school for the Middle School and High School level in which students seem to care more about socializing and sports than they do for academics. That is why the school is receiving 1 out of 10 for a grade report, which is still higher than it should be, but they do not report the correct grades in core classes and the state education department in North Dakota does nothing about it, unfortunately.
