I'm currently a student enrolled in FRA and I can say without a doubt that this is probably the most mediocre school in the education field. Literally all the teachers only care about sports, namely football. The teachers sometimes hand out free passes to athletes or turn a blind eye to their bad behavior because of that. I never really learned anything important and I usually forget what I've learned within days because of some teachers' lack of being able to do their job. Not to mention that it seems like the teachers have more reign over the school than the actual principal, which is very frustrating. With this being a very small school also comes with a sort of corruption, like I had mentioned with the athletes, if a teacher knows that a student's parents have money/ a powerful stance in the community/ or is a family friend then they will totally get special treatment. They also don't do anything to stop sexist, racist, and homophobic slurs that the boys blurt out to be funny. This is probably the most frustrating school I've ever attended.

Great staff and school! Not too many schools feel as welcoming and personal like False River does. We are so pleased with the work they do. Within the first month of school my daughter showed drastic change in her education. She feels so welcomed, loved, and safe here. We are so thankful God led us here. Such a difference from our previous school

It's very rare that you find value for your money these days. That's how I feel about FRA. The kids get along with each other, the education is always progressing, the faculty cares about the students and the discipline is there though confrontations between students is almost unheard of. How many schools can you find that don't have locks on the lockers, athletic bags on top of the lockers left without being taken and lost valuables returned intact? It's the atmosphere of the '50's. My children love the school and the teachers. The first day my youngest attended school; she was sitting alone at recess and three of her classmates approached her and began talking to her and made her feel welcome. They are still friends today. It's not only the academics that we appreciate, it's the overall positive feeling of the school. There are problems as with all schools but they are minor compared to most others. It's by far, the best school in the parish.

Great elementary!! Can't say enough about it. HIgh school is another story. We will go elsewhere for that. Sports is number one priority, not education in h.s. Time for the principal to retire and let some new fresh ideas flow. Otherwise I don't see this school making it much longer. He will drive people away.
