Just look up the current principal on Hernandez County police and you will see he was arrested for battery. The school does not care and sent a letter stating it was outdated but he was arrested Aug. 2024. There’s also a news article from a previous teacher to look into for more accusations. The school has a “good reputation” because they cover up things. Staff is a constantly changing. DONT DO IT. Whatever terrible school you are zoned for is way better than here. I heard all kinds of stories from my kid about what happened during the day. I’m now afraid to send my kid to a different charter bc they have so much control over regulations and what they do or do not report. They will make you think it’s the best place for your child and they care so much. Please don’t put your kids here.

Pick another option for your child. Sadly, the last 3 reviews sum up this school. If you can choose Tarpon Springs, this is a real charter school. Teachers who throw desks at students, bully students, and don't respond to parent emails or concerns are the norm. 6th grade had 4 months of substitute teachers in math and science and later english. There is very little instruction going on at this school. It was a great disappointment and the only good news is that my daughter made good friends.

Very happy my daughter is in her last year of school here. Nothing but issues here. Administration seems like they run the school without thinking things through. From bullying, car line problems and pathetic sports programs that are put together at the last minute. Administration is clueless when a problem arises and just tell parents what they want to hear and deny deny deny. From the good teachers that have left from the other parents that I’ve spoken too. This post is from many. Please do better! Our kids depend on you. If you’re a parent, stay on top of everything. It changes quickly and you’ll find out from your child first. Be involved.

They are big on accusing children of “bullying”, and will interrogate your child without a parent present. Worst school in all of Plato Schools. Do your research people, and stay away from this sorry excuse of a “charter school”.

Any positive review is from the school staff.Of course the review I left on Facebook is gone as they changed the settings so it no longer displayed any reviews . The school allows teachers and staff to bully and retaliate against the students . Then you have teachers who show support to the teacher bully. How can any one in their right mind show love and support to another teacher who antagonizes children ?When you go up to speak to the principal , it gets worst . I spoke to the Academic officer about the coach deliberately rejecting my daughter from sports because she’s good friends with the first grade teacher who bullied my son three years ago and for the past three years there has been a history of events back to back of things being done directly and indirectly towards my kids. The academic officer spoke to the principal and the coach and how the principal handles it is uncanny. The next day, she has it announced on speaker to the students that the coach made best teacher of the month and went on about how wonderful she is when she is not . Any staff who participates with another teacher who bullies a child is not wonderful or worthy of praise .They have never had teacher of the month prior to this and have never made a huge announcement of it on the speaker to the kids.Knowing she played a role in the bullying of a child the principal had the audacity to pat her on the back and throw it in my kids face over the speaker. So teachers are being rewarded for being bully’s and the school has the nerve to post anything in regards to bullies on their page or teach the kids not to be one .Are they for real? They’re teaching the students it’s not ok for them to be bullies , but it’s ok for the staff to be bullies! The new administration( office staff) ,I thought at first we’re ok but they are the biggest problem. They not only talk rude to the children , but they come out and treat certain parents like second class citizens. The school is unsafe for children . They would rather have each others back ,than look out for the best interest of your child . They will lie about your kid as well and make false accusations about you, the parent. Many parents removed their children from this school for similar reasons . My daughter was in advanced classes and my son received a letter from the Governor congratulating him for passing the state test. My kids grades made this school look great. They are chasing all the children out who had high grades .

It started off 3 years ago when my 6 year old son began to be bullied by his 1st grade teacher . She would not stop no matter how many times I reached out to her . My husband and I spoke to the principal who in return told us how sweet and respectful our son is and how everyone loves him. Then she tells us that the teacher has the highest test scores out of all the teachers in the school. Well no kidding!!! All the students In her class we’re honor students before 1st grade of course they’re all going to have good scores. What did it have to do with her bullying.?After speaking to the principal , not only did the bullying get worst, but now almost all the teachers joined in . They keep choosing my sons friend as a winner of every contest and magically the same kid is first in every picture album and video that is created by the school staff and they consistently keep putting my sons photos last .So infantile! I have tried over looking and ignoring it awhile in hopes it would stop because aside from this, my kids love the school and some teachers . It has not stopped . The retaliation continues and has now been transferred onto my daughter who is 2 years ahead of my son. Just recently ,she tried out for sports for her school and she was told by two staff members how well she was doing several times . The coach however who takes part in retaliation towards my son did not commend my daughter . Ironically, my daughter did not make the team ,but all her good friends did and some of them did not get complimented the day of tryouts and did not do as well as she did. The girls all came over to my daughter and asked her how come she didn’t make the team but they did and they didn’t do as well as she did? So I reached out to the school representative and filed a complaint, amazingly right after doing so the retaliation continues . Not only has the coach suddenly been letting the side walkers out but she has one of the teachers holding my kids back for 15-20 minutes before letting them out . Oh ,and again my sons good friends art work gets chosen again as the best out of the class even though it wasn’t the best out of the class . I’m not expecting anything to be done since teachers who bully and retaliate against the kids are being protected instead of the kids being bullied and retaliated against. I love how we are being treated as if we are the ones who did something wrong . Why would any teacher play a role and join in retaliation against a child?

Very nice school with many kind and dedicated teachers and office staff. My children are happy attending this school because they enjoy the fun classroom activities, time in art and PE, and the fun class parties their teachers throw for them often. We appreciate that Plato focuses on their students and promotes positivity, and we have felt very welcome in our time at this campus. The only unfortunate part about this school is the few parents who are negative and inconsiderate to both other parents and teachers. We have witnessed parents dishonesty and spitefulness about teachers for fake reasons, and we have experienced parents bully other parents and the teachers online. We love Plato for our children, and enjoy their growth at this school. Thank you teachers for what you do, and we look forward to another school year.

My son really likes this school. He’s went here for the past two school years. Last year wasn’t so great, as he was getting bullied by another kid. I had messaged his teacher at the time and she never even responded to my messages. Since everything was happening with covid, I chose to have him finish the remainder of the school year online. When he did online school with that same teacher, I could hear her constantly yelling at the kids. This 2022 school year, they got a new principal and things seem to have turned around for them. Covid was going around and my son had covid twice throughout the school year so things were a bit messy but they handled everything well. The 5th grade teachers and staff have all been great this year. The safety patrols are so kind, also!! Really makes my day to see their manners and hear their sweet voices tell our family to enjoy the rest of our day. My only complaints for this school are the drop off/pick up line and the unorganized events. The drop off and pick up line needs work. It should really be expanded somewhere. It isn’t safe pulling out onto old 54 when there’s a congested line backed up with cars coming from different angles, all over. At least get a crossing guard out on old 54. There are far too many parents and kids for their line to work. Also their events were very poorly organized. Parents and families waited hours to see their children sing in the Christmas event only to finally get in and see them sing for 2 minutes. The church is much too small to hold events for the entire school. Maybe have different grades perform at different times or days…….other than my two complaints, it has been a great school year my son has enjoyed

My child has been going to this school for about 2 years now. The first year was great but then the principal changed. I had her in before and after care the whole year, no problems. Second year, there is no instructions, heads up on things happening this school year or any helpful information sent out to the parents before the school year. So I emailed the before and after care the day school starts letting them know I needed to enroll her into before and after care. To my surprise they said they were full and I would be on a wait list. This wait list has lasted the entire school year. This has cost me 12.5 of missed work every week for 9 months.l roughly $7200 in lost wages. I don’t want to talk badly about the teachers but there are enough things I’ve noticed that I can’t recommend this school. Short tempers, unorganized, etc.
