  Our brief participation with HEROES was so miserable . After promising a ton and collecting the entire $2400 tuition up front , the director Danielle Volt refuses to work productively with children and their families . She was argumentative , extremely rude and was not providing the program promised . She refused to meet with us and refused to meet my child’s needs . We eventually had to pull my child out and of course she refused to refund us . And god forbid your child has a disability in addition to being gifted - she refuses to meet any of their minimal needs despite promising she would prior to admission . My son has an OT issue and could not write fast enough and she kept saying if he just practices hours a day it will fix it. That’s not how a fine motor issue works and she didn’t want to hear from our OT or anymore because she thinks she knows everything . She will NOT make ANY changes to anything in her program. Not all gifted kids are the same and this mentality is not helpful or grounded in any sort of educational theory backed by data . They also use a terrible computer system for home that she created and is really defensive about. If your child doesn’t keep up with the homework due to being locked out from this ridiculousness , they will make your child feel awful. My son - who loves to learn and is multiple years ahead of his grade - came home in tears more than once . Never mind that she also bashes public education , does not seem to understand the difference between accelerated and gifted education , and once you have access to her site , you realize she is giving out tons of “educational information “ that she is not qualified to give (such as her opinion on ADHD and gifted kids which is NOT grounded in data). The refusal to return the rest of our tuition (we only attended less than 20% of the program before having to pull our son ) was the icing on the cake . To be clear … I work in public education and am a school psychologist and licensed psychologist. I understand learning needs and a few very minor tweaks could have helped make things more successful for my son . Her rigidity was more important than my son’s needs. ...More Reviews

  Unprofessional, unorganized and greedy in every way! Stay away! I wish I could give negative star rating. Any positive review you would see only because the mother- daughter duo intentionally favors them so that they can put on good reviews and rich clients! 90 percent kids suffer. The classes and curriculum literally runs according to the schedule of those favored 10% students and their influential parents. ...More Reviews
