I would caution any parent considering sending their children to this school. I was a wholehearted champion of this school but have become completely disheartened recently. At best, this is an average or below average school in the district. In the past two years, the class sizes have gotten larger, putting more pressure on teachers for "rigor" and fewer resources and aides in the classroom. My child has absolutely suffered as a result of this approach. Above average students are ignored in the classroom and subsequently can fall behind as teachers have to focus on the students already struggling. As a parent, it takes full time effort and involvement to stay on top of what they're studying and working on to notice where and when this is happening, i.e. logging into the child's Chromebook and checking their online work, watching when they do the work to make sure they actually understand the concepts, etc. Teachers do not have time to do this with classrooms packed well beyond what is an optimal number in order to lower costs. They've also removed a great deal of the opportunities for parents to come in and observe and participate in classroom learning (and the fun activities) unlike neighboring FKE which involves parents in their "learn at every turn" campaign.

We love this school, we're transfers from the same county but different school district. My second child is getting ready to start this year and I am so excited. The teachers and support staff are kind with just the right amount of strictness. Sometimes you the right fit for your child's school is more than just the number of stars.

Great school! My son has been here for four years and it's been a wonderful experience for him - supportive teachers and staff, excellent academics.

I went to Grant line from 2-5th and had a very good experience with the teachers, students, and of course the basketball and track program.

My son has been here for 3 years now and I must say that I love this school! They have helped us through so much! I have worked closely with the principal, counselor, and teachers here trying to make the best path for meeting my son's needs. The principal hand picked his teacher for this year because he felt that my son would benefit from her teaching style and the counselor worked with us so much while addressing my child's special needs. I don't know any other school that would do so much to help their students/parents succeed! I love the school, principal, counselor, and teachers as they all go above and beyond!
