Pretty poor. Every time there is any kind of snow or even cold weather, the school closes. It's absurd. Yes, a number of their students live on back roads.. but they could come up with an alternate approach or at the least allow parents to bring their children to school if they feel strongly they should attend. In 2017 they closed the school so much, they needed to extend the school day per state mandate because the students weren't going to have enough hours of instruction. They also LOVE to have 2 hour delays. A two hour delay apparently doesn't prevent the school from receiving federal and state funding credit for that day. So.. if it's a little cold... close the school. A few snowflakes? (I'm not talking inches, I'm talking like a quarter inch) Close the school. You know some of the parents actually WORK and want their children in school. Very little confidence in the superintendent or in the school board.

Amazing school due to the staff. The secretary behind the front desk in the main office is wonderful! My daughter calls her, her best friend. She's always so nice and sweet to us both. I feel like we are wanted there and that we fit in because of her! Also Mrs Haga my daughters teacher. She cares for her kids (students) it's plain as day! I don't care too much for the principal but luckily there are still great people here. My daughter is always telling me how much she loves her school she hates to miss school on sick days and how she likes learning new stuff to show me. This school is by far the best school that I have ever had the privilege of attending of course I am just a parent but I'm very involved with my daughters schooling including dances socials football games and other school functions. We love it here at NEMS! GO GREEN WAVE!!!
