They could be doing a lot better academically! They push kids along to the next grade or when they’re behind then offer summer school where they push them along as well. Kids fall behind easy! There will be a kid who doesn’t even know they’re alphabet and proceed to the next grade. No undivided attention. You better teach your kids at home.

Started out strong 4 years ago, and now we’re actively upset and annoyed at this school. Maybe it’s covid, but this school is going downhill, fast.

Terrible experience with distance learning during covid. It might as well be a school from the Philadelphia district. Complete lack of organization from the leadership, it's taken them WEEKS to offer basically 1 hour of instruction per day, and just recently we were offered a couple more hours a week. There's a pile of homework everyday and from what it seems, quite a bit requires constant help from parents in order to understand the instructions. I would've expected a minimum of 3 teacher-led hours throughout the day, with multiple break times in between in order to complete homework and turn it in but instead, most of the work throughout the day is done by the parents (and some of us work full-time already). What is even more infuriating is that I hear other teachers cope with online classes just fine, even at other schools within the district. Even the Lower Merion township's Engineering class for teaching Scratch got their stuff together from the get-go and taught our kids almost 2 hours/day, much more than our school district!!! Penn Valley has done a terrible job in the last month and basically screwed all working parents over by not organizing better. We should be requesting 1/3 of our school taxes back.

Great environment. Lots of open space. Peaceful atmosphere.

The school administration is in need of significant training regarding support of special needs kids and discrimination against same.
