Belfonte Elementary is NOT a good school to put your children in. The principal/superintendent is a good person. He was "let go" from another school in Oklahoma due to inappropriate conduct with a girls sports team. Belfonte administration knew this and hired him anyway. Some of the students have been caught snorting crushed up candy. 98% of the faculty are related. No one in that school cares about the students. They are only there for a paycheck. In previous years they had one parent who went miles out of her way to help them and then all of a sudden they all started treating her poorly for unknown reasons. They complain about parent involvement and when they finally had a parent who was completely involved, they didn't want it. All I can say is good luck to those who choose to enroll their students in Belfonte Elem.

During the past few years Belfonte Elementary School has started to go down the drain. We acquired a new principal a few years ago and the first year was great but now it sux. In my opinion he is NOT there for the kids, he's just there for his $85000 (public knowledge) pay check. We have parents who want to be involved but he more or less refuses to let them unless it is going to benefit him. We have one parent in particular who has is few and far between when it comes to volunteering and trying to help out the school. The principal doesn't like her so he shuns her and her help. We will be leaving Belfonte soon and must say we are NOT at all sad about it.

Grand school. I like the way they interact with the students.
