This may be the best elementary school in the country. The teachers and staff are amazing, the pupils are amazing children, and the community spirit is like none I’ve ever seen. Living in Crestline is very expensive but it is worthwhile for my three children to enjoy being at Crestline.

Our family moved to Alabama specifically so our children could attend this school. Our son has attended Crestline Elementary from kindergarten through second grade. The principal, Laurie King, is an exceptional leader ... she's available to parents, cares about the students and teachers, and she is strong in her vision and expectation for her school. The kindergarten teachers are nurturing and every child learns to read with proficiency. Our son has learned well beyond the State Curriculum as he's moved through first and second. He's a creative child with an appetite for learning ... his second grade teacher is so kind to foster his unique potential while simultaneously making sure he is prepared for the core of what will come in third grade. Our daughter will attend kindergarten at Crestline next year. Our family is not from Mountain Brook or Alabama. I hear some people say that Mountain Brook is a "closed" or "exclusive" community ... our family has not found that to be true, especially with the school teachers, principal, and staff. No place is perfect by any means, but Crestline Elementary is truly exceptional.
